Look at the Greatshield and Great Door Shields in Dark Souls 3 for some good ideas for a a start.
A little confused as to what neutral special's use is. It reflects projectiles as a parry would but it just sorta eats physical attacks? Having it be an actual counter or being able to dodge out of it would make it a bit more useful. Also, putting a slight cooldown on forward special would make it a bit more balanced.
Great character!
The gameplay sprites are very stiff and could use a lot more movement and impact to make playing as him feel more satisfying, neutral special acts really odd in the air, and a lot of moves could use more startup lag and animation to give them some proper weight.
And, generally, I find that some unique sound effects add a lot to make a character stand out
I would love to see this character worked on a more, as I adore the design! Don't feel afraid to ask for some help with the sprite animations, you have a great start that just needs some polish to be something awesome!
