But the devilstrand is a better textile than the synthread, what would be the point to grow devilstrand for craft a lower quality textile?

I think about synthread production as a way to replace the 'middle tier leather' for the crafting of apparels. So it seems natural to use the lower quality fabric to upgrade it (cloth is useful only for cheap apparels of workers).
