I have bug with texture,crash...
Any idead what may cause this crash?
I'm with you here. John A. MacDonald is a pretty dumb choice.
As a french quebecer, I can tell you that you choose a very bad leaders for Quebec city.
You may use some people like:
1- Jean Talon (Intendant of Quebec city and the New-France colony, I recommend this one in a historical point of view, to be accurate with the game's city-state identity (maritim) and because this guy is the first who has make Quebec city really distinct and autonomous from France metropol - or even tried to make it this way)
2- Samuel de Champlain (foundator of Quebec city)
It would be a trivial matter to flip the display of the country/region in the top bar with the all-caps city state name (note I've also included the modern countries in the database entries, which could be used instead of the historical one). I'd be happy to send you an alternative Lua file for your personal copy of the mod if you like.
I have subscribed to it, but it is not showing up in my mod menu...
Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?
If you're looking for ways to improve/expand this mod, here was one for vanilla that did something similar which can be found here [forums.civfanatics.com] and a screenshot here [i239.photobucket.com]. I recommend taking a look. It adds both leaders and flags, and puts the country name front and center, something which you might be interested in doing here.
Like I said, you mad a really awesome mod, and did an excellent job doing so. City-states are really bland in-game, and I'm glad that people out there want to improve them. Thanks for all your hard work!
You can also download it from here [forums.civfanatics.com] and install it manually to your mods folder, which avoids the download/extraction/copy process where the issue occurs. However, I would appreciate it if you would first try it from Steam again, and let me know whether the issue reoccurs.
First unsubscribe to any other versions of CSL, then delete them from the Mods folder. Finally, delete your Cache and ModUserData folders. (Note that all 3 folders can be found in C:\%username%\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\ )
Also note you'll have to re-enable all of your mods after doing this, so if you have a lot of active mods, make a list first.
Great stuff!!
Could you enable logging [forums.civfanatics.com] then post your database.log and lua.log to a new post in this thread [forums.civfanatics.com]?
If unsubscribing works, then you could always forgo the Workshop and manually download and install it from CivFanatics [forums.civfanatics.com].
