Report a translation problem
I just reinstalled the addon and got it set back up, and it suddenly works now.
I think I may have been unknowingly using the legacy version of Airwatch before, and that may have been causing issues somehow. I'm not sure.
I appreciate your assistance regardless.

You mean like 90 degrees offset the wrong way? A screenshot would help me diagnose it. I tested it in HL2 & GMod and it was still working, so maybe it's another GMod-specific quirk. I can take a look at it, just need more info.
I'm not sure if this was an already discussed issue, but I did go back a few pages through the comments, and I think I saw mention of it, but it didn't appear to have much of a conclusion/solution. If you could possibly provide further context or explanation, that would be greatly appreciated.

Try deleting the "cache" and "downloads" folders from inside your gmod folder.
I have no plans to do that at this time.
The code was really not meant to be edited. Trust me, I'm a "reasonable perfectionist" with my work. It bothers me a lot, but there's not much I could do about it. I figured having it out there - albeit a little derpy - was better than nothing at all.
Related, yeah. If the replacement's angles don't match the vanilla model, that would cause it. The code expects the pitch/yaw/roll of the bones/attachments to be just right . The more you change it, the more noticeable the lack of accuracy.
The code uses the localized vector on the model. For example, if the original model's bones/attachments are in a right-handed Z-up orientation, and the replacement is in a left-handed Y-up orientation, it'll cause the gun to yaw when it's supposed to pitch, and the gun to to pitch when it tries to yaw.
is this due to the same thing too?
The aiming function is reliant on the size & location of the gun attachment on the vanilla model using some very wack trigonometry that the average user can't edit, as it's locked into compiled C++ binaries.
I spent a good chunk of time trying to find a workaround, but was unable to.

Because the gibs are hard-coded in C++ and I can only replace certain models like the helicopter fuselage or tail boom.
