If you still plan to make stuff it would be cool to get the Arthra from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. It has a dimension rending cannon on its bow and I love the ship.

Might be a conflicting mod (or that I'm on the most recent update) on my end; however, the standard drone carrier has a missing texture cube at the front of the ship roughly where the guns should be. Tried it in complete vanilla and it looks like it's still the same problem. Any fixes I should try real quick?

i restarted with only ui mod and drone ship mod
ships are too far
sthey stay at 2x medim system inner range (so almost exactly on the edge of 1920 screen)
bombers cant sometimes even get the first strike, fighters are less troblesome but still can get stuck

Microsoft Excel: What other mod do you use that rescales the system? Carriers are purposely designed to stay way way back, however, their strikecrafts will engage almost anything on vanilla star system range.

i have a problem sometimes - carriers get too far and cant reach the targets
there is no mods that change engagement distance or strikecraft max range.

Oh. Thinking about it now, I think it's cuz I have a mod that changes some mechanics up. My bad. I have been playing modded for so long that it has become difficult to discern what's vanilla and what isn't.

barricadedpurifier: you're probably setting your carriers wrong then. My drones are setup to use vanilla stellaris strike craft behavior, thats why there are two types of it per carrier type, one is bomber, one is fighter, bombers uses stellaris bomber behavior while fighter uses stellaris fighter behavior setups. the carrier is purposely designed to to stay as far as possible thats why it uses carrier style behavior, The drones are also set to have med-high speed as well as range in that way, even if the carrier is far, they will attack edge/border range enemies.

I never added my own strike craft behavior so I dont know whats wrong with yours while mine work fine. :v

The drones need to get closer because its AI behavior and how strike craft in general have been programmed by Stellaris Devs. Currently your drones/strike craft are running point defense (defending the ship) while the main guns on your drone carrier is shooting them from long range. I recommend changing the guns of the drone carrier to something that makes it go closer to its intended target. Something with less range capabilities.

My drones don't attack enemy ships! I see their squadrons flying around but targeting ONLY enemy rockets and strike crafts, but don't harm normal fleet ships. Any solution? HELP!

hamsajean: Yes. a single light drone carrier is too op for vanilla taste anyways.

Paulo: that mod is no longer being updated. But i didnt make the ship too big (Except for the dreadnought carrier)

Is this mod compatible with Downscaled Ships? Because I really thinking about get it after getting the US Astro Fleet Shipset ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2827860713&searchtext= ). And that mod is compatible with DS.

tolaburke: no, but the special plating will be useable on the drone carrier, the drones are too op to be allowed on different shipclass lol. but you can manually edit them if you really want to.

ANIMUS: Im working on a Sulaco but irl work makes progress really slow, but its my next one.

country_limits folder, inside it are two folder, one of them is ownership_limit folder, edit that and edit ship_of_size_limits folder, edit both files, then update the ship_size code ai_ship_data bracket.

Careful, the whole country_limit folder is new on 3.4, i still havent fully tested it if its LIOS, FIOS.
