That's a good idea. I'm not quite sure how to implement it, since the prices of items depend on a separate file, but I'll see if it's feasible.

If the prices of certain items would scale with amount of certain items sold/bought AND time, that would be perfect

Maybe. I made it so that crafted items cost about 1/4 more than the ingredients to make it, so that it balances out the time spent making it; even though it doesn't take very long to craft.
You can change the prices yourself if you want, it is a bit tedious though. Just go to Don't Starve Together/data/store/data.json.

I think that you should balance the prices, for example, a reed values 50 and a papyrus 250 so if you buy a papyrus you are wasting 50 extra coins because you need 4 reeds for making a single papyrus.

That's ok, it's not so necessary to buy potato since they are a great source of easy farmable after you get the seeds, and a good healing food. Go and do your best. Groovy!

I am terribly sorry that you can't buy potatoes with this mod. Maybe I could make a mod where everything costs potatoes? Not sure how to do it right now, but I could figure it out.
