Reeve 29 Jun @ 12:54pm
The mod is mostly accurate bar a few errors lol. I don't get why people are complaining.
Ġedryht of Wōden 26 Jun @ 4:47am
@jssh072
Which Africans? There's more than one ethnic group in Africa. The paradox devs don't get it right either with the amount of black people in North Africa.
RMTH 22 Jun @ 6:32pm
The mods not accurate
jssh072 21 Jun @ 6:26am
Why u make Africans with long and big mouth ?
jssh072 20 Jun @ 2:39pm
Africans look nothing like what this shtty mod makes them look like
Ēarendel 15 Jun @ 10:57am
Bruv, I don't think Leaf is working on this mod anymore. But I am sure they would incorporate your edits into the mod if it holds merit

@Leaf / Metalhead33 Thanketh thou!
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 8 Jun @ 5:16am
@Lord_Weasel: Fixed. And also updated to the newest version.
Lord_Weasel 7 Jun @ 8:37pm
For some reason all the Steppe cultures reverted to their pre-DLC traditions when I enabled this. Is a fix coming?
Reeve 18 May @ 1:02pm
I am also a trained physical anthropologist, and i second this. We might have to end up taking serious legal action if this inaccuracy isnt corrected. The distribution for phenotypes are also off, why is Cornwall Litorid? DMCA's and other such measures are on the table. We are serious.
RMTH 15 May @ 3:50pm
Inaccurate. Why is Keltic-Nordid phenotype high-vaulted as opposed to low-vaulted. I am a trained physical anthropologist and I am threatening legal action if this is not fixed IMMEDIATELY.
Talos 30 Apr @ 12:46am
I have also been experiencing crashes that are also unavoidable, which means playthrough ruining, and I am suspecting that it's this mod as well. Worst of all is it doesn't seem to happen in the beginning at all, but rather 100-200 years down the line, at which point it becomes completely unavoidable
Abdoulcherif xaan 19 Mar @ 3:30pm
@addthattomywall Ethiopians are made up of a very large variety of peoples. Some of them being extremely Dark in regards to skin, this is not an issue for us. Anymore than it would be for southern Italians or Chinese.
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 19 Mar @ 11:32am
It only changes cultures, and only changes their ethnicities. It shouldn't cause any crashes and shouldn't conflict with any mods that don't edit vanilla culture files.
Ġedryht of Wōden 19 Mar @ 11:15am
Now that I'm testing it, does this actually still work? My modlist is getting fat and I'm experiencing some crashes.
Ġedryht of Wōden 16 Mar @ 8:52am
White Tocharians? already a 10/10 for me and I've not tested this yet.
10-tacle 13 Mar @ 3:56pm
Please Update! :)
at first glance i saw not bad changes(but i was suprised that almost everyone color skin was made more red-like, strange for me, but not a reason to be disappointed ). Then repetitively NPC with square-like face with sharp borders and pale skin almost everywhere about 5-10% of population. Dont think if the last thing is meant to be but after this i deleted this mod.
addthattomywall 27 Dec, 2024 @ 12:15pm
why's Ethiopians so black
Rüdiger 17 Dec, 2024 @ 5:08am
Love this mod so much. unfortunately i have some issues.

for some reason a lot of npcs start bald and in loinclothes.

When i went in to see with barbershop what hairstyle is broken etc i see that they all have the slots unequipped ! all hairstyles and clothes are working when i change them manually in barbershop.

Why do so many start with emptied slots and how can i fix it ?
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 7 Dec, 2024 @ 5:51am
@Lord_Weasel : Done. Updated.
Lord_Weasel 3 Dec, 2024 @ 2:16pm
EPE just updated, are you going to work on a compatch?
Lord_Weasel 16 Oct, 2024 @ 3:36pm
NVM, I have since discovered my earlier complaint is an issue with the ageless gene completely unrelated to this mod
SirTronomodo 16 Oct, 2024 @ 3:05pm
I updated the Muslim Enhancements Compatch. Want me to send you the files?
Umriq 12 Oct, 2024 @ 1:38am
thank you for keeping this updated :steamhappy:  i can't handle vanilla ethnicity too many same faces.
Lord_Weasel 6 Oct, 2024 @ 1:40pm
Ever since the RTP update, around half of my characters' children are coming out looking like adults from birth. Has anyone else noticed this issue?
Caloens2k1 28 Sep, 2024 @ 7:33am
👍
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 28 Sep, 2024 @ 7:12am
@Caloens2k1: The only thing that makes it incompatible is the editing of ethnicities in the culture file.
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 28 Sep, 2024 @ 7:12am
@Caloens2k1 : Correct. I even created a patcher for it to automate the patching (despite giving up on maintaining the compatches this year or one year ago), but I still need someone to draw the maps for each culture.

Caloens2k1 28 Sep, 2024 @ 6:38am
Also, the only incompatibility this mod has with others that make changes to cultures (Like EPE) is the ethnicities part in the culture file, correct? Or are there other things that that that makes it incompatible?
Caloens2k1 28 Sep, 2024 @ 6:34am
Cool mod. Btw, how did you determined each cultures ethnicity weight? I'm trying to make my own custom cultures but I got confused on how much each ethnicities should be weighted.
Reeve 24 Sep, 2024 @ 5:07pm
I like this mod but it has several inaccuracies, mostly in North-Western Europe, Central Asia and Iberia. I'd like to discuss this with you, as i co-ran the physicalanthropology wiki in 2023. I've also read multiple books on the subject of Physical anthropology and human phenotypes. Feel free to message me if you want to talk.

1 Overall looks like a good mod because as it pushes in a more historical direction. Pretty brave too, as changing Phenotypes is pretty controversial these days. But there's a few choices I think could be improved upon.
The Tocharians often had ginger hair (maybe blonde too, as they're almost genetically the same), as evidenced by the mummies left behind in the Tarim basin. Their material culture was very similar to ones found in Eastern Europe, though likely influenced by their surroundings. What I see from the picture though is mostly dark haired Tocharians and 1 blonde one, which I suppose is still more accurate then the full on middle eastern appearance in vanilla. I think this is because of how isolated from the rest of the world the Tocharians were, mostly associating with Scythian related groups and only having to rely on the Silk road for their economy, as well as China for military protection.
Ġedryht of Wōden 5 Jul, 2024 @ 2:31am
2 The Saka's might've still looked fairly European at this time, though this I'm less sure of as Scythians expanded quite a lot.
Also the Finnic cultures still look Asiatic to me. The Ck3 devs sure don't like white people residing anywhere along the fringes, do they?
The Finno-Ugrics neighboured the Indo-European and Corded Ware cultures for thousands of years.
It was even said that the corded ware got their blonde hair from mixing with the Ostyaks, so it's pretty surprising that people just presume the Finno-Ugrics were Asiatic when if that was true, the Finns would look this way to this day due to darker genes being dominant.
In fact, I'd said it was more likely through mixing with Turko-Mongolic groups that the Ugric people now look half Asiatic.
Cuman Khan 5 Jun, 2024 @ 1:54pm
@earendel
Yeah the Scythian didn’t just disappear, and the turkic tribes were more of a cultural thing rather then ethnic. Western turkics looked like western eurasians and eastern turkics looked like East Asians. The cumans, due to their geographical location, no doubt incorporated many scythian tribes. Even the Scythians themselves have high genetic variation, eastern sctthians were Asian and western were Europeans with blonde hair and blue eyes in many cases.
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 22 May, 2024 @ 2:28am
@hamletsdead Place the compatches at the very bottom of the load order. All compatches belong to the very bottom. As for what order.... I don't know anything else. Never really tested all those mods together.

But I pretty much stopped updating the compatches anyway. Keeping up with all the new cultures those mods add has become unsustainable for me to do alone, and no one bothered to volunteer to help.
hamletsdead 21 May, 2024 @ 11:09am
@Leaf/Metalhead33, this looks awesome, thanks mucho! If using RICE, EPE, and CE, where should this load - above RICE with the patches below the respective patched mods? Or should everything including patches be loaded near the bottom of load order?
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 19 May, 2024 @ 11:39am
Tomorrow, I guess.
Guelph 19 May, 2024 @ 5:06am
update when?
Ēarendel 5 Apr, 2024 @ 12:41pm
The stereotypical Cuman was described as blonde and blue eyes by everyone in the Middle Ages including Turkic and Russian people, my hunch is they were descended from Scythians before but with more mixture and federations of tribes.

Here's a modern picture of a Bulgarian Cuman that still somewhat resembles the phenotype https://i.pinimg.com/originals/59/1f/16/591f16bbcf53b63204be2d6100282a9f.jpg
Cuman Khan 5 Apr, 2024 @ 3:05am
this mod is amazing and exactly what i was looking for, i was sick of all the pechenegs and cumans being east asian, when its known they were a mix of europeans, east asians, and mixtures of both the races, they were a very diverse coalition of many different tribes and peoples and they absorbed different dna on their travels from asia to europe.
Genseric123 27 Mar, 2024 @ 7:09pm
Someone made a series of compatches, but I cant really tell the phenotypes are showing up correctly. Could others please test? Three compatches are on the workshop in the link below
Genseric123 15 Mar, 2024 @ 5:24pm
Just a heads up that the patches make a lot of cultures have no clothes. I asked a friend on steam named shautora to make a patch for 1.11 which is on his workshop but I'm not sure if hes up for doing it for this update. I have no modding experience myself so I cant really be of much help.
Leaf / Metalhead33  [author] 15 Mar, 2024 @ 4:57pm
If anyone wnats to help assigning the phenotypes to the missing cultures, i need maps for each of the new cultures added by any of the culture-adding mods you guys want compatches for.
Take this blank map, and mark the given ethnic group with yellow pixels (RGB: 255, 255, 0) where it is present: https://i.imgur.com/bq6Z2Xe.png
Create one such map for each of the missing cultures.
Now you can see why it's a bit of a hefty task for me. But if the community is willing to have it outsourced to them, that'll be great.
Genseric123 15 Mar, 2024 @ 11:26am
Thank you so much for your continued work on this man
