Your audio output device refresh rate must be LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 48000hz
FAudio (one of FNA's (tModLoader's backend framework) dependencies) throws a fatal exception when applying audio filters to sounds to an output of over 48000hz.
You can change this by pressing Win+R and entering mmsys.cpl and pressing enter. This should open your sound devices. Change to the one you are currently using, select Properties and go to Advanced and you should be able to change your Default Format. Change it to something 48000hz or less.
