Super good tbh, nice job, but I recommend giving Sparta and Athens more stuff to do when playing as...

Negative, modern studies prove that the unique time that it was a unified Kingdom was under Hasmonean dynasty. An unified kingdom before babylonian is mythical and its writing is after persian satrap era. The Judahites migrated from sinai (probably) and bringed with its warrior god (Yahweh). Israel was a separate canaanite kingdom

Just a quick detail, Judah and Israel were in a unified kingdom of Israel under David during this time. It was only after the death of Solomon in 975 BC did the kingdom split up.

Later startdate. I made this as sort of minicampaign for middle east to acompany the Iron Age mod. I put it aside some time ago since for now I'm ocupied with Elder Scrolls mod but there are plans to aither make modernised version of it or if EU5 (for now project ceasar) comes sooner move Iron Age project to new platform.
IronWolfGaming101 29 Apr, 2024 @ 6:59pm
What is the difference between this mod and Bronze Age?
Wilpikle 19 Apr, 2024 @ 10:40pm
Mod lets you live out the modern Assyrian's dream 10/10

No I always answear the questions. I also invite you to discord. We recently had a discussion about how to make dwemer cave systems in my Elder Scrolls mod.
erikbalens 30 May, 2023 @ 7:21pm
do you mind if I add you as a friend so that i can ask about making i:r mods?
Lonely Modder  [author] 24 May, 2023 @ 1:46pm
Well actually there were still remnants of old pre-greek population all over the agean. The Philistines are also suspected to belong to that group. Most of the them after couple centuries of contact with the greeks adopted their culture but they still kept many of their customs. For outsiders they looked greek but to greeks they were quite foreign. For example such pockets were in thrace (north-east), asia minor (south of troy north of caria) for example Larissa was word from Pelasgian and meant something-like citadel according to greek sources. I forgot many things now but I remember we had heated debates on the forum or discord and this was a sort of compromise :)
erikbalens 24 May, 2023 @ 11:44am
Hello, cool mod

I was actually wondering what one cool thing you learned researching the time period for this was, and i was wondering the justification behind the greco-agean culture group, thanks a ton
Lonely Modder  [author] 4 May, 2023 @ 1:34am
You're welcome :)
Jiggy 3 May, 2023 @ 10:38pm
That was very kind of you. With God's grace and your help, I could make the flag of Troy what it deserves rather than some stock market volatile-up moving arrow. I will play and revert in case I am stuck anywhere. It is really good of you to make this mod. I will play your Iron Age one as well post my campaign as Troy. Thank you once again.
Lonely Modder  [author] 3 May, 2023 @ 11:35am
Gender decisions should be back now.
Lonely Modder  [author] 3 May, 2023 @ 11:05am
Sorry 987BC is start date. The end date is 612BC or 1667 in game dates. To change the faction banner you need to access the 00_pre_scripted_countries file in the mod folder. There you see the definitions of the banners the 3 letter code is responsible for country HBS for troy the texture files can be edited with gimp or photoshop but you can find many shapes in game. Colors can be in rgb format. I mainly work on elder scrolls mod now but I can do fixes from time to time. I'll check the gender thing cause this intrigued me.
Jiggy 3 May, 2023 @ 3:14am
You can just let go the above things, if it will take too much time of yours, nothing stopping my game as such.
Jiggy 3 May, 2023 @ 3:03am
>> Troy is running fine now, ran for 6.5 years as of now on iron-mode. If I am not asking too much, is it possible to change the flag of Troy to something more historical/epic. The current one looks like some stock trading app advertisement and I know it is not you who did it, it is already in I:R :steamfacepalm:. I tried something with Coat of Arms defines in CoA folder but it killed the game.
>> Also, 'enact gender equality' doesn't work although it shows working post enacting, I guess the message is 'ai_will_do' and it shows a green check-mark. It is not a game breaking issue for me, just thought of taking some good stats women in research and government.
>> Just let me know if I have understood this right, the game runs from July 2272 BC to July 987 BC, right? Sorry, I am not really good with other forms of date.
Lonely Modder  [author] 2 May, 2023 @ 2:15pm
Culture names form the original game were redefined and I accidentally used the original name so the new units just didn't connected that's why the game said the troan culture was hellenistic not greek like the others. It was just changing the name and with programistic notepad you can do it with a click of a button. Thank you for kind word's.
Jiggy 2 May, 2023 @ 11:05am
@Woah! That was very quick. Will check, thank you so much.
Meanwhile, I started your Age of Iron mod, it is also a good one.
Lonely Modder  [author] 2 May, 2023 @ 5:40am
It should work now. The date is 987BC like the description says.
Jiggy 2 May, 2023 @ 2:45am
Hello, wanted to confirm that as Troy i am not able to raise any levy and not able to open any military tradition.
Also, what is the end date/year of this game mod.
Gambler 24 Apr, 2023 @ 3:57pm
great work. Thank you.
Lonely Modder  [author] 5 Mar, 2023 @ 1:48pm
Ok I haven't tested it yet but now window should show up only once cuz I earlier forgot to add one line to every event in event chain to block instruction from repeating itself. I'm planning remake of the mod with new map but it currently waits for the new update of my Elder Scrolls mod to finish.
Lonely Modder  [author] 1 Mar, 2023 @ 11:24pm
ok I know what that was about. I'll fix it as soon as I can.
LinkLuver 1 Mar, 2023 @ 2:50pm
i dont quite remember which country i played but it was one of the 'interesting countries' in kemet. the even was giving me a ton of territory from the libyan tag that conquered a ton of land from the dynasty tag on game start (dont remember the number). the event kept repeating itself every month, i dont think its effects kept repeating though (i already had all the land so makes sense, just the prompt. the event i think had something about marriage with the princess of said libyan tag.
Lonely Modder  [author] 24 Feb, 2023 @ 1:33am
More details could be usefull like what country you played, did event stuck in a loop (repeats itself) and so on.
LinkLuver 23 Feb, 2023 @ 9:30pm
was playing in kemet and got a repeat event that will not stop repeating and it is really hard to play around, it's labled as 'unexpected proposal'
Jad 11 Jan, 2023 @ 3:06pm
Ishbosheth only ruled for two years he accused his top general Abner of sleeping with his fathers concubine after which Abner went and proposed peace with David who agreed to meet with him on condition he bring Michal the daughter of Saul who was promised to him for killing Goliath. Abner was then assassinated by Joab , Davids cousin and top general in retribution for killing his brother in battle. Ishbosheth and his family were then murdered by two officers in his army who brought his head to David and then David excuted them for having done so. After that the tribes accepted David as king of all Israel. Thou they were at war for seven years there is only one recorded battle and ultimately it was a unification thru peace not war.
Lonely Modder  [author] 11 Jan, 2023 @ 5:32am
Well what about his conflict with Ishbosheth son of Saul?
Jad 10 Jan, 2023 @ 3:43pm
king david ruled over a united kingdom of israel it split later on when his grandson rehoboam became king and demanded exorbitant taxes from the other tribes and the first king of israel after the split was Jeroboam
Jiggy 20 Dec, 2022 @ 1:31am
Having played Ashurbanipal in Civ V a couple of times, will definitely try this one.
Thank you @LonelyModder for this offering.
tunio 5 Nov, 2022 @ 6:59am
I'm in love with this mod. Thats why I play Imperator Rome still.
Massimo7492 12 Oct, 2022 @ 10:51am
Very good mod.
In my opinion, you should add Italy too
frozenfeet 11 Sep, 2022 @ 6:14pm
somewhat confused by the hebrew heritage name lol
Lonely Modder  [author] 15 Jul, 2022 @ 12:14pm
Just fixed it. First error was caused by the initial stacks not being in place but cause i tend to change units a lot so i didn't add them :) . Now you need to pass the law and the legion is recruitable. The second one was fixed in like a five minutes i overwitten some files and forgot that the game needs some lines in initialisation to be copied again. Don't be shy in reporting bugs. Mod is in active development.
Nick 15 Jul, 2022 @ 10:35am
Fun mod! I just found a couple bugs. 1) Assyria can't raise legions in their capital despite having the law for it. 2) Tech levels at the start of the game don't give innovations. Great mod otherwise!
somerandomnamex 15 Jul, 2022 @ 6:42am
Great mod man!! Would love to see Anatolia added at some point like you said!!!
tunio 11 Jul, 2022 @ 5:46pm
Very interesting. I just install the game to test your mod. Nice job!
Lonely Modder  [author] 5 Jul, 2022 @ 9:44am
In time if there will be intrest in the mod the anatolia will also appear on the map
E 5 Jul, 2022 @ 3:27am
Man I wish these nice Imperator mods had the CK3 version of updated Bronze Age mod map, which includes most of Anatolia and such.
Lonely Modder  [author] 3 Jul, 2022 @ 1:14am
Well in the previous mod I used mostly 7th century map for the setting kingdoms either way cause then we are getting info about for example India with a little tweaks (like two panchalas) based on what I read about and Tartessos should be present til the Lydian conquest of the greek colonies (they borrowed money to miletus then if i am not mistaken). So this regions will be in a remake of Iron Age i was talking about. And the Urartu and Anatolia will be added in time. Maybe if the ck3 mod uses the same code it might be faster donno but I will add them don't worry.
hrsmp 2 Jul, 2022 @ 11:18pm
This is great. Though i will miss Tartessos and other distant lands.
Too bad authors of Bronze Age mod decided to switch to CK3 and didn't update Anatolia for Imperator version of the map. While not as important in 2115 bce, anatolian states would play a role later, Lydia was kind of big deal and later Urartu, later one also as an avenue for Assyrian expansion.
Lonely Modder  [author] 2 Jul, 2022 @ 2:13am
Well as I explained earlier the game has a faction limit (or at least thats what error.log said as I understand). The map form vanilla was too big to reflect that time period in a correct way and choosing which tribes/states to portray was heart breaking so I decided to move to a middle east map made by Svanley and eventually do a remake of Iron Age mod in a more fitting time period for that map.
Foffy 1 Jul, 2022 @ 4:01pm
If you don't mind me asking, what is different about this from Age of Iron? Both have the same start date, so I was curious if this is merely set in a different part of the world or a different take on that mod.
Lonely Modder  [author] 1 Jul, 2022 @ 12:58pm
It's not hard just time consuming. Basically you are copying and changing the files from the folder called game in Imperator directory remembering that the files that are not changed from the base game will be used if there are no changed files in mod directory.
TrJacobin 30 Jun, 2022 @ 9:15am
Awesome work from what I can see...would have loved a Peloponnesian war set up with this map...wish I knew how to mod ;)
