That missing first slot is dedicated to the Previous Page button when you move between pages. Same for the bottom row’s rightmost slot. HTH fellow user

I seem to be getting an error about "MonoMod," and that's not a mod I have installed within the list. Looking through, I find that this is connected to this mod. I'm getting a crash report talking about how "Reference cell no longer exists (Parameter 'cellRef')" (First line, Crash report).

OMG I'm stupid :steamfacepalm: ...since for me only the Mechanic really needs the “Shop Expander”, I didn't notice that with the other NPC's. Sorry for that!

That's technically a feature.
That's where the arrow for previous page goes when you're not on the first page.
Nothing to worry about as it's not overwriting any items. All the shop items are still present.
Just a visual annoyance that I'll work up the motivation to fix one day.

Hey, so either this mod has a bug or it's me, caused by other mods.
The items in each inventory store of the NPC's, is slipped by 1 field.
In other words, the first slot in each inventory store is empty for each NPC!
Does anyone have the same bug?

Incredible mod. Something I had caused the dye merchant to only sell silver dye, no clue. This fixed that.

My NPCs have disappeared. Like, they didn't despawn, but are all now invisible.

Back, and I must say, mod's pretty handy for the vanilla NPCs who get 149 new items from Quality Of Life mods. Only thing I'd say is work on a better button system, cus the one just now leaves a gap in their first shop slot (even if their items don't overflow). Other than that, this mod's the most handy one I've seen.

Tested alone and it does work. Try disabling other mods until you find the one at fault.

The empty shops issue has been fixed.

If you encounter any more empty shop issues while using this mod, please verify that the issue also happens without any other mods enabled. If it doesn't happen with only Shop Expander enabled, that means another mod is causing the issue.

Yea i'v had the same problem as well. My Merchant's items have been removed, nor can I switch slides, and I don't think its just the merchant's shop either.

Hello, could anyone help me, I was playing with this normal mod with the goblin NPC working normally, but when I entered hard mode his shop was left without any items, and when I remove the mod he returns to having the shop but others NPCs bug and their shop disappears.

I think this is a bug with your mod. At least blacklisting the Tavern keeper got his inventory back. The inventory doesn't populate post-plantera but pre-golem. Just killed Golem and Tavern keeper's inventory is back. Super weird!

New update with the config option you mentioned has been pushed.
I've also reported the shop issue to Fargo's mod devs since this is an issue in the Fargo mod, they stop filling the shop at 40 items which is how big a single page is

I have seen issues here abt squirrel npc from Fargo's mod so I have a suggfestion to make a config to disable the pages for certain npcs... like a list thats similiar to others like ore excavator having then black list and the white list. i hope its going to help.

It was this mod's fault. For a few hours a broken version was uploaded.
Guess Steam is slow in sending the newest version to everyone.
You can force Steam to update all mods to their latest version by verifying tml files.

Update, it was an auto update issue. Corrupted during update.

-Had to unsubscribe, delete the mod in the mods list after disabling it

-Delete the lingering files in:
G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\1281930\2828370879\
(Sorted by "Date modified" to help narrow the search)

-Delete any traces of it in modpacks I made in:
C:\Users\[User]\Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Mods

Restart the game and download it through the in-game "Workshop Hub".


If anyone is suffering from the same issue, hopefully this will help you.

I don't know what happened but all shops appear empty for me, this wasn't a problem before. I thought it was another mod, but I think something in the update broke the shops? Or I may just have to redownload this entirely. Maybe the auto updater didn't update the mod correctly?

after testing, its the LuiAFK Traveling Merchant town NPC, strangely the skeleton merchant isnt broken
the comments are disabled on the LuiAFK workshop page so that sucks :/

Just checked and the travelling merchant works fine with only ShopExpander enabled.
