I might be able to do some sprite work (though, may be piss-poor).
I'll study Necesse's sprites uploaded by Fair in the Discord and then get back to you about this.

Trinkets for Slow-moving (to balance having summons with trinkets) Melee Summons?
Maybe Critical Chance and Critical Damage? But I can see this breaking balance very quickly compared to the others. So, could possibly have a berserker set that has a significantly lower tier armour stat but high critical melee chance and damage with increased melee attack speed? I have no idea how these stats can be locked to just melee weapons though.
There could be interesting set modifiers like increased damage only when we're moving.
As for sprite ideas, well, first thing to come to mind is something like Demon's Souls Fluted Set or Final Fantasy V's berserker.
Honestly, any new armour sprite set for fashion would bring some excitement, especially when looking at the basic armour sets in Necesse.
