Also, I do not know if you know, but your workshop is set to private, so nobody can see your other workshop stuff

Tested, now it works :cozyspaceengineersc:

@Denis J :P I found the problem and fixed it. It turns out that the projectile has to have more blocks than the subgrid it leaves behind. Since both the projectile and subgrid had the same amount of block there was some inconsistency as to whether or not it would break the speed limit. To fix it I just added a light fixture block since its low mass to make the projectile take up 5 blocks instead of 4. Thanks for bringing the problem to my attention. Hopefully it will work for you now.

I have experimental mode on, and i also made multiple tests with your ship and my friend's ship on the same world who also using speed breaking gun, All projectiles from your ship fly about 104m/s and all projectiles from my friend's ship fly about 1060m/s, if i paste the ship again, nothing change

@Denis J :P Do you have experimental mode turned on? I'm not sure if that would make a difference but that's the only reason I can think of why it's not working for you. I'll have to test it when I get home. At the moment I'm getting ready to take a final exam.

Speed breaking on your gravity gun not work, it connect to both hinges if arm, but after fire the projectiles fly only 104m/s...

Man I love a ship with Artificial Gravity quirks, nicely done!

Honestly this is the most creative SE ship design i've seen as of yet. The split gravity directions and crew quarters are ingenious. Also the hangar is great

I might even be able to get the thrust to weight ratio higher since all that space the gravity generators were taking up could be used to fit more thrusters.

@DiamondKnight1 Yeah they take up a pretty large portion of the ships PCU. When I first started making the cannon I thought of using the cheaper piston clang cannon method but decided against it because of long range accuracy and the delay before firing. My next ship should hopefully take at least 20,000 less PCU than this one. I could potentially get that even lower with some other tricks.

Definitely deserves the spotlight

@paul Not to mention PCU limits of most servers. That man grav gens... oof
Thorik911  [author] 9 Jul, 2022 @ 10:15pm
Thanks everyone for getting this to the featured list! My next project will probably be to make a server friendly version since the coil cannon might be against a few rules on some servers. It will probably be another little while though since I am attending college at the moment and as such am really busy.

The use of space for the crew quarters is ingenious!

Is the interior intentionally ALIEN reminiscent? I like it.

Great finally a well built ship without scripts or mods. Good work man :D

ngl, mars looks like an orange death star in that first screenshot

is it just me more or does this ship look like a jem hedar battleship from ds9?
Thorik911  [author] 7 Jul, 2022 @ 11:35am
Yep. I want my ships to be somewhat realistic and in space the only one way to get rid of waste heat produced by engines and electronics Is through black body radiation. The engines are supposed to be flow stabilized z-pinch fusion thrusters [www.projectrho.com] and would thus need high temperature radiators to remove the waste heat they produce. Of course there are concerns in real life about D-D reactions producing neutrons that could reflect off the radiators toward the crew hence the reason most realistic designs keep the crew as far away from the engines as possible. However since this is a warship my logic is that its armor shields the crew from the radiation. Obviously a warship wouldn't have as much of a delta v budget as a normal spaceship due to the extra weight of it's armor.

are those radiator panels? thats sick

As for me, Angel of Death is cooler, but this one isn't bad either.
