Tried this again with an old unmodded post-gatecrasher save file and used console to level up 4 ranks. Can confirm it will not randomize stats on Legend. Tested on commander again, but this time made new save after switching difficulty. Reloading clean save will perform as advertised. On legend this mod is broke AF.

Pretty sure this only affects the soldiers growth stats, not their starting stats... Im not sure. Will test soon.

This mod is broken. Started Legend campaign with PBNCE for rookies, but every squaddie has been given base stat progression. Dropped to Commander and get the same. Swapped out for SWR version and stats are randomized. Swap back to this one, no rng.

@hottt3 ... LWotC already has Hidden Potential build into it. Just go under the options menu after starting a new game to turn it on/off and adjust the % variable.

How does this mod interact with a class mod that has built in hidden potential, if I don't exclude them?

I ask because I'm curious if this mod just ignores that mods version and replaces it, or if for some reason, it would double up on extra stats?

@zin It's different because Not Created Equal randomizes them when they are spawned. After that they follow the base game level up stats. This randomizes the stats they get on level up

PBNCE only affects units "at creation"

Perhaps I'm missing something but I'm not noticing the mod take affect with the mod set with the default configs. Is it a random chance of happening per rank up?

Sparks dont even get rank ups no? How can they be affected?
Can they even lose stats with rank ups? I hope not i have been desperately trying to find a mod that excludes robots and doesnt lose stats on lvlup. even if the growth is only 1 aim point idc

It since I rebuilt them. Both soldiers were krogans from the alien species mod. Maybe something in their coding...? I'm completely at a loss, but since it doesn't seem to happen again to the same soldier(s) I am fine rebuilding a few per campaign.

no idea what could cause that. this only modifies the stat growth, which shouldn't be negative to begin with. (and normally soldiers don't have any will growth after squaddie either)

This seems to break will in mid to late game. I had a couple soldiers rank up to -1/1 will. It's probably this in combination with other mods, but I'm not sure what it could be.
I used additional console commands to rebuild the two soldiers and change their will values, but they were stuck in the status "shaken" infinitely. I had to take a picture of their stats, delete them, then spawn them again and use console commands to give back their previous stats. I think I will try disabling will as a mechanic because I really like using this mod with my others.

This allowed me to break the game and make near unkillable soldiers, alongside Brigs more fragile than glass. 10/10

NCE is starting stats, Hidden Potential is for rank ups. so they can work together just fine for even more randomness.

outside of MOCX (which likely are already affected by this), enemies don't have any class growths. Advent Not Created Equally is gonna be your best bet for random enemy stats, but you may need to add modded enemies to its config whitelist (some mods take care of adding themselves, others don't)

@Mitzruti, very cool remake, can u do this 4 enemy classes as well? I know of another mod that does this 4 select enemy mods, but I'm asking about 1 based on the hidden potential mod as you've done here except 4 enemies.
