If you still use steam, I would request if you make four English Civil War uniforms.

Spades  [author] 9 Aug, 2022 @ 3:44pm
This is basically directly inspired by the Warband mod Anno Domini 1257
SAM 9 Aug, 2022 @ 1:09pm
Hey if you guys like this mod, check out the game Warband. It's basically this lol

xoma_wolf3 21 Jul, 2022 @ 2:14am
Does anybody know what happened to the modern polish skins, like the creator of them always have the skins they make get removed and suddenly reappear, I would love a explanation.
Spades  [author] 20 Jul, 2022 @ 6:31pm
whoops, forgot to say that the shield is also from anno domini 1257, being the default heater shield from that
只是一个加拿大的中国 20 Jul, 2022 @ 7:30am

Ah yes, knights and cool armour. Can't wait to roleplay as Swadia vs the Nordic Kingdom from Warband
Trankhanhduyh 10 Jul, 2022 @ 4:27pm
hmm someone gotta do a medieval crossbow and early musket mod for this lol
Dame Puffball 8 Jul, 2022 @ 6:11pm
so basically yeah i totally get why that's not imminently doable lol
Dame Puffball 8 Jul, 2022 @ 6:10pm
afaik the only way to make plate armour not warp is to pull a for honor and design the entire model and animation rig around it
Spades  [author] 8 Jul, 2022 @ 6:08pm
*a good idea
Spades  [author] 8 Jul, 2022 @ 6:04pm
Might also be good idea to start with the 14th century, where a lot of the plate armor is either piecemeal or covered up by a coat of arms/jupon/whatever
Spades  [author] 8 Jul, 2022 @ 6:01pm
@Sir Puffball I suppose I could, although the ornamentation isn’t the problem, it’s figuring out how to make plates that look good on a moving model. I definitely do wanna give it a try, but I think I’d probably end up wanting to do a bunch of different models so that not everyone is dressed in exactly the same harness, which doesn’t make sense. I’ll probably have to wait til I’ve gotten more work done on other stuff like PGW before I’m in a place where I’m comfortable enough to sink the time needed to learn how to make good looking armor and then apply that.
spdqrtrs LIB 8 Jul, 2022 @ 4:35pm
why
Dame Puffball 8 Jul, 2022 @ 3:57pm
you can just do avant without the ornamentation for a pretty standard plate armour but i get why that would be a huge pain to make look good
Spades  [author] 8 Jul, 2022 @ 1:40pm
Not to mention, plate armor was incredibly individualized, so it's harder to get away with giving everyone the same stuff like I did here.....
Spades  [author] 8 Jul, 2022 @ 1:36pm
Whenever I gain the skill and patience to make full plate armor look good

15th century mod when
Spades  [author] 8 Jul, 2022 @ 1:04pm
Well probably the best pack for it currently is King_CreepaLot's, which I linked in the description. For ranged, perhaps Dr. Doctor Ph.D.'s longbow mod, I believe the recurve bow from that would go best with this idk. Everything else is either outdated or just wouldn't go with this. Sadly no proper shields.
PickledFetus 8 Jul, 2022 @ 12:56pm
what weapon mods go with this?
Spades  [author] 8 Jul, 2022 @ 10:27am
@King_CreepaLot Yeah, I have a copy as well, incredible how much easier it is to read as you go through it.
Dame Puffball 8 Jul, 2022 @ 9:33am
random ravenfield mod has the most historically authentic armour i've seen in a game what

That's some cool stuff to read tbh, you must've taken quite the serious interest in that period. I know I have a copy of the Canterbury Tales sitting around here somewhere, makes me want to make an attempt at reading it!
Amon 7 Jul, 2022 @ 10:55pm

(“‘tis” is from the 16th century, contracting random words wasn’t really a thing yet, “anon” meant immediately rather than soon back then although in retrospect this seems to have been your intention, “mine” was still “myne”, “own” was still “owne”, “army” existed in English but didn’t have exactly the same meaning, the proper word would be “here” which I do believe is related to the German “heer”, “equipped” is from a later period and I believe originally referred to the equipping of a ship, no clue what “armether” is, the term for armor was simply “armure”, “all” was still “alle”, “need” was still “neede”, “weapons” was still “wepens”, although it seems that in copying your text I made a mistake; it should be “alle I neede are wepens”)
Spades  [author] 7 Jul, 2022 @ 9:30pm
More appropriately (still roughly 100 years late), à la Canterbury Tales: it is parfit, soon with myne owne here armed with armure; alle I neede is wepens.
Thy shopkeeper 7 Jul, 2022 @ 8:36pm
in old English. Tis p'rfect, anon with mine own army equipp'd with armeth'r all i needeth is weapons
