I would love to see an even earlier version. I recall several years ago it used to work with GC multiplayer - that was by far the most fun I ever had with this game.

nice to see a brony worked on this

The maker of this mod doesn't get it, I do not want to play with ground troops.
SammyTyl 4 Oct, 2022 @ 9:46am
Does this have all the ships?

Even though I like the remake 4.0 this brings back so many old memories thank you lad

As Kas said we used to go after reuploads like this. We've had the 3.5 reupload situation a few times now, and I can no longer remember why we keep playing whack-a-mole with it. If people really want to keep playing a years old version of the mod, feel free to do so. You're free to keep the v3.5 mod up here with my permission.

Man, reading a few of the steam comments reminds me why I stick to discord and never read anything on steam. So much hostility.

What the hell happened here?

Geez... so much drama over a mod for a game that's nearing 20 years old..

If the devs specifically request that their mod be removed from the workshop, then I believe it should probably be removed. However, if they wish it removed, it would be prudent to reupload it themselves.

This matter, however, is far removed from my business...and has nothing to do with me. My above words are all that I will input on the subject.

Technically, all Star Wars related material is the intellectual property of Disney and its subsidiaries. Any derivative work such as 3d models, books/novelizations, art, images, names and so much more that relates to the Star Wars universe with any substance coming from that universe is subject to possible copyright and takedown, and or a cease and desist to the makers of said thing in question. So, be glad that all these mods are available.

Thanks mate

Subscribe to this and the submod. Invasions should still work.
One Puff Man 15 Aug, 2022 @ 6:53pm
Invasions yes\no? That was one of my favorite parts of legacy

Oh Vr-thing, put your STFU in your mouth and ****.
Also, the description was changed compared to earlier. If you don't know the whole thing, at least please avoid to comment...
Rabin Lorac 4 Aug, 2022 @ 9:29pm
stolen? can you all not read he lists the full credits in the mod description, no clicking or searching required. its. right. here. on. the. front. page.
Vriz 4 Aug, 2022 @ 3:19pm
Oh shut the fuck up Stefano(AvailableForCommissions)

What sort of idiot thinks this is "stealing" so much as a reupload of a previous work that wasn't uploaded by the original team for another platform. You think a mod that was only available on nexusmods / moddb / github and so on but wasn't on steam workshop counts as being stolen when the OP didn't claim it was theirs?
Stefano (BackToGetCommissions) 3 Aug, 2022 @ 11:54pm
@Rabin Lorac, another "guy" that wants to be the 'white knight' of the situation...why don't you just go home instead to make lame excuses to defend someone that has just 'stolen' the work made by others...?
Elman36 1 Aug, 2022 @ 12:04pm
People would be surprised with just how little they actually own online. They don't even own the games they bought in their Steam library. Custom models or not, they can be successfully claimed by the IP owner. A perfect example of this is Games Workshop with Warhammer. They were able to take down many fan animations on Youtube that used custom made 3D models.
Rabin Lorac 31 Jul, 2022 @ 8:04pm
Nothing is owned by the people. the only reason you think your opinion has merit is because private sites like steam or moddb or any other site may chose to perpetuate the idea because they want to keep the peace and not create conflict within their communities and to not draw attention of the actual IP owners. at anytime the IP owners can ban the mods, like they do and have done with remakes of kotor, battlefront 3, and others. steam makes money from the workshop and losing that would not be good for their bottom line.
skully 31 Jul, 2022 @ 8:00pm
@Rabin Lorac Pretty spot on, Remake's devs have gotten quite big egos over the past few years as the mod has grown in popularity. 4.0's release has especially highlighted this, as well as revealed the contempt they have towards their players.
Strawberry 28 Jul, 2022 @ 8:07am
that is not how it works at all, things like custom made models are owned by the people who make them, even if it is designed after an IP. not to mention it is against steams TOS to repost someone else's content making everything you said irrelevant anyways
Rabin Lorac 27 Jul, 2022 @ 10:20pm
I always think its funny that modders think they own their work within an establish IP that they do not have the copyright for or a license to reproduce. I respect the time an effort modders put into games, but I do not respect their attitudes and arrogance about owning what is not theirs.

You, the modders, are lucky that the developers, and publishers and/or the copyright owners even allow you to use their code, their work, and their IP. In fact, I dont think I see anywhere where the original remake team credited or thanked the real devs, the publisher, Lucsfilm, Disney, or George Lucas himself for their work and allowing for use of the IP and code.

thx
Unit2209  [author] 23 Jul, 2022 @ 6:25pm
This version does not have the resource system.
devinmbrown 23 Jul, 2022 @ 5:47pm
Does this have 4.0's annoying resource system?
Stefano (BackToGetCommissions) 23 Jul, 2022 @ 12:47am
Talking about being selfish...
" I will happily remove this upload if an official legacy 3.5 is added to the workshop..." is this a threat?
skully 22 Jul, 2022 @ 1:32pm
"We don't want this version of the mod uploaded here, take it down."

"Upload it yourselves then."

":l ... >:("
Kasderan 19 Jul, 2022 @ 5:01pm
The right thing to do now is to remove your upload, since we made it clear we don't want you to upload our work. We can solve this is in a friendly manner now, or you take the consequences when I contact steam support to remove this.
Strawberry 19 Jul, 2022 @ 2:08pm
Just because people are too lazy to use modDB doesn't give you the right to just reupload their work
Unit2209  [author] 19 Jul, 2022 @ 10:49am
Look, I will happily remove this upload if an official legacy 3.5 is added to the workshop. I don't wish to steal any credit. I saw the community wanted legacy 3.5 on steam so I uploaded it.
Strawberry 19 Jul, 2022 @ 7:58am
You may not have claimed ownership, yet you didn't make anything, just uploaded other people's work and didn't have the gall to do the bare minimum of giving credit. I hope you get reported enough that this is taken down
Kasderan 19 Jul, 2022 @ 7:58am
You do realize you are doing this without the consent of us, the devs of Remake? You never even asked for permission. If we wanted 3.5 on steam, we would have done it ourself. Your behaviour is more than scummy
Unit2209  [author] 19 Jul, 2022 @ 7:03am
Many people don't use Moddb and like myself prefer to use the Steam Workshop. I never claimed ownership.
Strawberry 19 Jul, 2022 @ 6:38am
Is this literally just a reupload of 3.5 onto the workshop? That's really scummy man
Unit2209  [author] 18 Jul, 2022 @ 4:10pm
If it was compatible with the original 3.5 mod it may still work. Try at your own risk
Juice 18 Jul, 2022 @ 3:28pm
will any existing 1 credit 1 sec / infinite unit cap work with this mod?
Unit2209  [author] 15 Jul, 2022 @ 11:23am
No ground battles! This is for people who want the classic 3.5 space only experience. Use 4.0 for ground battles.
Jonas The Real One 15 Jul, 2022 @ 5:35am
no ground battles in galatic conqeust?
Nameless 14 Jul, 2022 @ 5:17pm
I can't save the game.
moralescrc 14 Jul, 2022 @ 3:24pm
