I verified the same happens in my game. Sometimes it works without issue, sometimes the texture appears broken and other times it is invisible. I will have to investigate this further I will let you know when it is fixed.

Any reason why sometimes when i boot the game it wont actually show the helmet model? its there sometime but if i reload for instance its gone

I put the vendors where you can buy the helmets in the changelog. This is the name of the vendors in the mod tool.

Thank you for the help the item can now be found on dust bandits. I took the base of the visored helmet and changed a few stats. I compared it to the flared helmet and the stats are mostly the same. I have uploaded a picture of the stats so you can look at it yourself.

To put them on an NPC, find them under +Characters and add it as Clothing. I find it most useful to go into +Biomes > Spawn Area > Homeless Spawns to find local groups.

Thank you for your suggestions the helmet can now be bought at armor vendors, I still have to find out how to place items on npc's so that will be coming in the future.

Make them sellable or on like vagrants or bandits occasionally
