Trying to play with friend in coop. First mission gets stuck on camera view of ODST drop pods landing. Can't assume control of any forces from that moment on, since we're both stuck in cinematic view.

when i try playing with a friend, it gives an error saying APP ERROR: Multiplayer map card type 'single/00_desperate measures/[halo] reach peninsula: desperate measures" is undefined! (mp_game.cpp:257)

its been awhile since i have enjoyed playing a mod but this is the i have played it was so fun and with the first person mode i felt like a odst .

have you thought about using the first mission map as a survival map/ firefight from halo reach it would suit perfect you would do the exact same thing but at the end you could request more odst to defend a high value target or something like that .

@Shaftoe, working on 1 more mission. Taking some time though, after that the desperate measures campaign is complete. But I might create further campaigns in the future.

Should we expect more missions for this campaign? It's great! The more the better!

Also, would be cool to give player a combat pelican as controllable support, maybe to travel between islands or rooftops.

@Shaftoe, thanks for the feedback, i'll take it into account for the next patches. As for the "drowning" into the texturing, if it's the "first contact" mission you're refering to, it should be patched since this morning. Maybe steam failed to update the files, see if you unsubscribe and then subscribe again to force update the mod, and come back to me if that doesn't fix the issue.

Awesome mini-campaign!

However, in the first mission soldiers die if they come too close to map boundary in some places. Their deaths are usually followed with water splash effect and the body disappearing in texturing.

Also, it's unfortunate that soldiers appear unable to inspect any pick anything up from stationary supply crates. Could put some sniper rifles and rocket launchers there...

And the final bit of feedback: at the very end of the first mission the Covvies push a bit too hard (second wave spams grenades like crazy). If the player doesn't have a looted tank and/or warthog available to them, then it can be unwinnable. I suggest placing more medium covers directed towards incoming enemy assault at exfiltration point and maybe adding an AI-controlled Falcon arriving to the scene early on as air support. Or maybe a sudden appearance of a SPARTAN or two...

@anautisticsquid, should be able to. If you download and enable the campaign, you should be able to find the maps under "[halo] reach peninsula" in the editor.

@Warlord, I'm working on my own "city" map for episode 3, but there's a lot of assets and mapping to be done, so V1.0 is going to take a little while longer.

@Mr. Doktor, after V1.0 release I'm open to explore further possibilities, so Co-op would definitely be a good suggestion. I'll just have to learn how to do it, one thing i learned with the gem editor, is that making mods/missions/maps for the first time is like throwing yourself into the ocean without knowing how to swim.

I had fun with the second part of the campaign, and my only bad experience was the one where one of my ODSTs sunk in the swamp part and drowned, but you already got that complaint so my main question is actually if a CO-OP mode would be included in this or if it's only made for Singleplayer.

Episode 2 is awesome! I did encounter a bug where some area's were set to swamp, so my ODSTs started drowning for no reason. Other then that it was great!

What you have going this far is incredible and when I played through most of the first mission (I have to finish it first) I enjoyed it, though there was a glitch when the Spirits came flying down the road with like a Brute Platoon in basic words, the Gauss Hog shot both of them down and it kinda glitched the dropship so the units weren't dead inside. Other than that, this is incredible and I hope you continue this series and even go on to make more incredible content such as this. Best of luck to you.
