just Amazing

very clever

Cool

This looks interesting, but I achieved the exact same result (a extendable platform with a connector on the end) by placing a piston onto a conveyor tube and placing a connector on the far end. Extend it out, hook up whatever you want, disconnct, retract, fly off.

when i try to load this i get an empty asteroid

The video on constructing the scissor boom used a lot of copy/paste... is it possible to create this in survival?
MK84  [author] 31 Jul, 2014 @ 3:11pm
It's possible. Bugs aside. only issue I can think of at the moment is would the rotors have enough torque to extend it.
ValkeRyan 27 Jul, 2014 @ 4:30am
¿is it possible to make it as long as I wish or this is the maximum due to breaking probability?
MK84  [author] 17 Jul, 2014 @ 5:11am
Improved version is now online on my workshop. This version uses connector-to-connector connection.

You could remove the entire scissor boom, and it would function exactly the same, with a *lot* less over-engineering. :-/
DARK MATTER 16 Jul, 2014 @ 9:27pm
interesting consept, would be nice to have flexy pipes later in game
QuixoticSabot 16 Jul, 2014 @ 8:40pm
no no no no like a real chain like a 8 kind not that they can only move side to side
sadly ;(

marcel00709, refer to my answer to DL Angell the Red

@Mk84 thank you very much!

Hää hmm wie hast du große motor und kleine teil kann ran zubauen wie hast du das gemacht
RychschaX 16 Jul, 2014 @ 8:30am
Cooooooooooool......(picture that kid from MEGAS XLR)
MK84  [author] 16 Jul, 2014 @ 3:17am
DL Angell the Red, it was done via the small rotor on large rotor/stator trick. Refer to post here:

Tangy 15 Jul, 2014 @ 3:12pm
@Mk84 quick question: how did you attach the smaller ship parts to the larger ship parts?
CyanRevenge 15 Jul, 2014 @ 12:58pm
this would be really cool to have on a ship that you would use to go to an asteroid, mine it, and then have another ship load it up and take it away
Joergitech 15 Jul, 2014 @ 12:51pm
can make this in the front with the new conveyer system ? is the rotor strong enough to solve the connection ?
QuixoticSabot 15 Jul, 2014 @ 8:17am
u know that they need to add realy bad a chian like somthing how u have 1 block witch is the start link then one block that is the end link. or i would be equaly happy with a track system like on tanks and heavy machies, u know?
Irony Man 15 Jul, 2014 @ 8:13am
:O AWESOME!!!!!!

This game is getting scary.
Big Cat 15 Jul, 2014 @ 3:20am
whit that thing can you build like factorys and than can ships come and pick up minerals and fly to like a place were they build there space base
Dr. Rockso 15 Jul, 2014 @ 12:31am
I can build this in my dreams, no prob. Noticed I said dreams right?
VbHD 14 Jul, 2014 @ 9:31pm
Fraudulent use of the word 'simple'.

I know that space engineers is a cool game but THIS IS WAY COOLER and i wished that they would add somthing awsome and new... (:
Xiupan 14 Jul, 2014 @ 2:43pm
That is genius!! :O
Derp Sneknivek 14 Jul, 2014 @ 2:15pm
awesomely made
BluePhoenix8406 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:44pm
Dude that is so cool i hope i can one day be able to create someting like that
Terpit18 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:05pm
cool

You, sir/ma'am, are a clever human, may you breathe well and long in the future
I've been trying to make an elevator using connectors big and small and didn't think that small rotors would snap to big rotors, holy gravity-cake, thanks.
MK84  [author] 14 Jul, 2014 @ 7:48am
KAF | GlaDOS, PM me, I'll try my best.

Oh and the cake is a lie....

поиграть в компании можно. Веселенькая игра получается.
Jenmare 14 Jul, 2014 @ 4:53am
(old player who sucks at programming rotors) Young one, could you teach me this magic?

=D Not kiding, could you teach me to do this trick friend? Pretty please? =3
Redshirtguy13 13 Jul, 2014 @ 9:38pm
amazing
Zergriv 13 Jul, 2014 @ 9:02pm
hey.. cool thing man!! nice job!! .. dunno if anyone has told you this.. I think it would be a great idea for a docking spot with big ships... it would be pretty classy...
ScrambieBambie 13 Jul, 2014 @ 8:34pm
Nice concept...and once more only proof what we can build but not exacly best idea overall. Its still better to use dumper and grav unit behind to spit cargo at distances...at least if your PC can compute at least 256 items at a time
Name Brand Hipster™ 13 Jul, 2014 @ 7:36pm
Vanilla. All workshop items are maps.

Brewdog 13 Jul, 2014 @ 1:14pm
I like the idea but there is a way instead of using gravity and ejector just add a cargo then conactor
MK84  [author] 13 Jul, 2014 @ 8:15am
No mods. Vanilla game.
g2nickk 13 Jul, 2014 @ 8:07am
Is this in the vanilla version of the game or is this a mod?
cucumslice 13 Jul, 2014 @ 7:02am
Tank you

Ok there is a bug when copying and pasting the conveyor into your projects at the moment. (Re : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/244850/discussions/1/46476691214347927/) .

I'll have a video up in a few hours on how to safely copy and paste this into your own projects.
