this is not intended to be a ship engine, it is made to generate power, trying to hook this up does not work well at all, but i reccomend you still give it a ty as making a nuclear piston powered ship is pretty cool

The setup is intended as a standalone generator, rather than as any kind of direct driveshaft connection. as such, its installation instructions pretty much equate to 'connect it to your electrical system and hey presto, its installed'.

I think it could help if the description of this steam post had notations explaining how to hook the engine up to a ship.

That is an excellent point that I hadn't considered. I will update the generator with those extraneous parts removed. thanks!

A great, aesthetically pleasing design that outputs a stupid amount of power. But, it is overweight and can be stripped down by about 1000 mass (by removing the extra generator manifold and one of the flywheels off of the other manifold) while still maintaining it's 10kW output.
