how compatible they are will depend on the body. ive made these to the same standards i use when making bodys, both mod and for the vanilla game.
not sure about placement issue but thats normaly the game being weird or high scaling.

I get this weird bug where sometimes it'll set itself further into the body of the car. I've also noticed they're a bit wider and deeper than the base game seams.

cool but i really wished that it could go over fixtures but its with automation and not the mod so the devs really gotta make putting body molding on fixtures that indent into the body a feature

Yes this is for cutting custom door seams.

the cutouts that are supposed to be behind the seam are offset to the side about an inch for me

@borisu thanks, i will test it for myself, if they aren't useful, i just won't release them, thanks for the help

These are made to the normal seam standard of a 2.5mm offset/5mm width bevel and are 1.8cm deep. my only concern is how useable they will be.
Swartkin 21 Jul, 2022 @ 12:05pm
@borisu my mod has secondary option where they don't have any deformation, they are basically just the middle sector of the fixture, they are all true to scale with the ingame ones, because the models are literally the ones in the game, i can make the seams, i just need the width so i can match yours, if you don't want to, it's fine
Cyborg Silvia  [author] 21 Jul, 2022 @ 12:00pm
the issue is not having the vanilla parts, its there overall shape and the way they dive in/out means you would need to make so many parts it wouldn't be viable to use
Swartkin 21 Jul, 2022 @ 11:51am
scale*

@borisu i have made a mod for the ingame body molding, which means i have the models in hand and ready to be edited, would you allow me to make seams for it based on your mod? if possible i need the acale of the seams.
Cyborg Silvia  [author] 21 Jul, 2022 @ 11:42am
it wont work, the uvs would be too small and would still cause the same issues. which is why i did the gizmos support. unfortunately its also not possible to make a set that works with the vanilla moulding just due to the shape meaning a bunch of 3d work is needed.

Can i request/give my opinion? as you know a lot of us cover the seams with body molding, the problem is that this mod has lips, so it cuts out a lot of the body molding, i would suggest making a version with just the seams itself, without the lips, this may make some crap cutouts because the UVMesh would be way too small, but i would give it a try

what i'm tired of is not having the right parts to build late 40's - early 50's cars :c

This is awesome! it will certainly help with people who want to put seams in my body mods, since both of them are race cars with no doors lmao

Brilliant, thanks! Now I can give the Nascar mod doors hehehe.

this is extremely useful for 1980s, and 2010s supercars.
