Mouse Button Description
Left Hammer tiles
Right Open slope selection menu
Allows the user to select a custom slope instead of cycling through them all. It'll behave like a vanilla hammer if no custom slope is selected.

Fill Wand

Mouse Button Description
Middle Click on a tile to select it as the working type of tile
Left Tile placement in selected region
Right Tile removal in selected region. Only removes the working type of tile selected unless air is selected
Assigned Keybind Undo last placement
Great to fill huge holes.
The selection region range must be increased/decreased with the use of a hotkey that is DISABLED by default in tModLoader.

Finalizing content for this mod is far beyond my patient limits, it just continues for 5 min. Not kidding, i've started timer, taken 5:37. Something wrong. I hope it's alive, and we will get updates someday, mod is perfect, it can't die like this...

@Soul Likewise, perhaps it is due to another mod's compatibility? It generally gets stuck on the Finalizing Content loading screen, however, I am not sure which mod it is having issues with. If you wait long enough then the loading sequence does finish.

Does the Mirror wand support a mirror axis of odd width? Like if you want to mirror things around a single column of blocks instead of the centerline between 2 columns of blocks.

I've got a lot of similar tools in my own mod Gadget Galore, including the building tools, and I noticed you've got 4 buttons for different types of angles (left facing half ellipsis, right facing etc), you could likely reduce those to just 2 by having horizontal and vertical instead, saving some button clicking here and there.

@Haite 's ideas are incredible, a copy and paste function which will check if you have the resources needed for pasting said build, that would make a lot of things a lot easier and less boring

@Kirtle Just throwing ideas if you're up to, it's already an amazing mod; It would be nice if it had a "copy" tool. Like you select an area with right click, then right click again, it tries to replicate the copied selection the best it can, walls and blocks, given the resources, to the mouse location.

@Kirtle Yeah, it sounds like a good idea. My opinion is that pre-hardmode is survival stage, with limited resources, and hardmode is when the player is likely to be stocked with resources anyways. Limiting a creative tool seems counter-intuitive to me. As long you get the builder essentials after getting the vanilla tool, it should be balanced without making the vanilla tool obsolete, I suppose.

@Haite do you think recipes aren't very progression friendly? I admit the Auto Hammer being hardmode is a bit unnecessary.. maybe move it to an earlier stage of the game and make a better hardmode version that allows multiple tiles to be selected? Regarding the trapping of enemies with building, not too concerned about it. Modded means players play like they want to, I'm not going to impose limitations on what can and can't be done with the tools (other than functionality itself)

@davidguy207 The mod does some heavy lifting in the "adding recipes" stage. It's likely you have a mix of a slower computer and a lot of mods that add new content, which makes it take longer than normal to load. It's on my todo list to both add some visual cues that the mod is doing something and to also improve the way it's currently caching some information to cut down the time it takes.

QOL is an understatement, this is worth the "essentials" in the title, building in Terraria has never been easier.
Also, kudos for the terrific wiki page. Complements the mod perfectly

For feedback, if interested, I'm not sure about the recipes; Auto hammer and fill wand utilities are not something that breaks the game, just makes building faster. You still need the resources (which was an awesome touch). Unlike the infinite paint bucket, that's, well, infinite (but should paint really be finite...?). It'd be nice if most of tools were as easy as the shapes drawer to build. Just combine related tools, and you're good to go.
Arguable, players "can" use the building items to trap enemies, but is that that huge of a concern? If it is, there could be a toggle to not build around enemies, or leave the player stunned for some seconds, something like it. But I feel, if the person is already using the mod, they'll make their own limitations.
