Updated to 1.5!

Many races supported haven't made the jump to 1.5. Basically the only races remaining are Ayameduki's and humans.

Since Aya FA exists, FAWD seems a bit unnecessary at this point. I opted to update anyway since a few people seemed to want it.

Let me know if anything seems out of order.

Thanks for your support, and I apologize for the extended delay! Life has been a bit cruel lately.
Forge Meister 343 18 May, 2024 @ 7:36am
looking forward to your update

I believe so, and I apologize for the extended delay! Life has been keeping me away from my keyboard too much lately.

Thank you very much for your patience.
Espiovvv 11 May, 2024 @ 3:15am
Do you plan to update this to 1.5?
WRelicK  [author] 4 Mar, 2024 @ 1:00am
In theory, it should be a very quick process to make a small FA extension. However, I'm about to head to bed, so I'll have to handle the issue tomorrow. I'll send you a friend request when I've prepared the extension.

You can certainly give the old HAR FA extension a try in the meantime. You may also of course try unsubscribing and resubscribing to FAWD if you haven't already. Once again, I couldn't confirm any issues with FAWD's bun support myself, so a local file issue still isn't out of the question.
AOITAKA 4 Mar, 2024 @ 12:30am
But I wander if it will take you time, or I can try to use the old Nals Facial Animation for HAR mod?
AOITAKA 4 Mar, 2024 @ 12:25am
Still doesn't work. I would be glad if you can make a functional extension.
WRelicK  [author] 3 Mar, 2024 @ 11:11am
Is XML Extensions a requirement for another mod in your list? If not, I'd simply advise removing it. But if you need to keep it, you could remove the highlighted line here [imgur.com] under the mod's LoadFolders.xml file.

Let me know if that still doesn't work. I can make you a quick, functional extension for the bun without the head resizing shenanigans.
AOITAKA 3 Mar, 2024 @ 7:18am
Thanks, but I have one more issue. Bun's facial animation is not work for me even I enable it in mod setting.
WRelicK  [author] 3 Mar, 2024 @ 1:27am
Certainly! The most accessible way to do so would be to go into 1.4>PostSettingPatches>Patches>RaceResizingPatches and delete all the XML files that aren't pertinent to the Bun. That should only leave BunFaceSizePatch.xml.

Sorry for the trouble with XML Extensions - in hindsight, I would have avoided using it.
AOITAKA 3 Mar, 2024 @ 1:20am
May I ask you I want to use bun's facial animation only but XML Extensions is not work for me, are there have another way to disable other features?
WRelicK  [author] 17 Feb, 2024 @ 11:30am
Sure thing! Feel free to ask again if that solution doesn't suit your needs.
AOITAKA 17 Feb, 2024 @ 12:22am
@WRelicK Thanks for the mod. I will try it.
WRelicK  [author] 16 Feb, 2024 @ 6:46pm
Hello! Thanks for providing a HugsLog!

I've tried replicating the issue while looking for possible conflicts in your list, but everything seems to be working on my end. You could try shifting FAWD around in your load order.

At this point though, I'd recommend simply disabling FAWD's head adjustments and manually adjusting head size/offset to your liking using Stylish Rim. It can really help compensate for graphical issues in very large modlists.

Let me know if that helps!
AOITAKA 16 Feb, 2024 @ 10:56am
Pawn's head can't fit their body anymore.Their head become too high if I turn on the human rescalling feature. I don't know it's about mod loading order or something broken after some mod updated.
WRelicK  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 1:18pm
Of course!
Towa Musa 21 Nov, 2023 @ 1:17pm
i do like using them so thanks for making them!
WRelicK  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 1:06pm
Wonderful, glad we could find a solution! Have fun and thank you for using my mods.
Towa Musa 21 Nov, 2023 @ 12:38pm
FIXED!
WRelicK  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 12:19pm
Ah, then that's definitely the issue. As I mention in the compatibility section, FAWD and ARFA are only compatible if FAWD's support for the Ayameduki races is disabled in the mod settings, which need XML Extensions.

If you prefer not to use XML Extensions, you could also comment out any Ayameduki race lines in FAWD's LoadFolders.xml file.

Let me know if that fixes it.
Towa Musa 21 Nov, 2023 @ 12:06pm
also the error is: Upload error. failure to parse.
Towa Musa 21 Nov, 2023 @ 12:05pm
yes i am actually, is thats what the problem is?
WRelicK  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 11:46am
Hmm, that's a problem. You could try using HugsLib itself, I suppose. Let me know exactly what the error message says after that.

Are you possibly trying to use this mod alongside FAWD?
Towa Musa 21 Nov, 2023 @ 10:26am
I tried to upload the logs with that but it wont work, gives me a error message instead, as for the race.... she is a Silkiera
WRelicK  [author] 20 Nov, 2023 @ 8:02pm
You should be able to use this here . Could you also let me know which race is being affected?
Towa Musa 20 Nov, 2023 @ 6:33pm
how do i share the logs again? its been while
Towa Musa 20 Nov, 2023 @ 6:04pm
sure one sec, honestly it COULD be a modconflict if anything.
WRelicK  [author] 20 Nov, 2023 @ 12:04pm
Hello! I'm sorry to hear FAWD is giving you trouble. If you'd like, you can post a HugsLog so I could help you troubleshoot. Which race specifically is it causing issues for?
Towa Musa 20 Nov, 2023 @ 11:25am
Howdy, i tried using this and it broke the fuck out of one of the races it was meant for, the pawns head went deeper into their hair and removed from their body, gonna disable it untill i figure out what the hell broke it
WRelicK  [author] 5 Oct, 2023 @ 7:28pm
Hey there! If you're running XML Extensions and a lot of races, that's almost guaranteed to be the reason. To provide dynamic and customizable support, FAWD's settings menu does a lot of costly XML querying on startup.

I optimized the menu as best as XML Extensions could support. My decision to use it for FAWD was an experiment. But for various reasons, I'm unsatisfied by the results. I have opted to leave FAWD as is and simply avoid XML Extensions for future projects.

Disabling the body of the settings should improve load times. If that doesn't help, you can try commenting out the XML Extensions line in FAWD's LoadFolders.xml file. This will of course prevent you from using the mod settings, though.
Toby Twentyblunt 5 Oct, 2023 @ 1:19pm
Great mod, but why is the startup impact so insane?
WRelicK  [author] 28 Sep, 2023 @ 9:15pm
Oh, no worries at all! The old instructions are indeed a bit misleading, so I appreciate a user reminding me. I'm happy you're enjoying Ayameduki's work and that I can help improve your experience.

Thankfully, the update shouldn't be far out now. Hope you have fun using my mods regardless!
藤原蛋紅 28 Sep, 2023 @ 8:28pm
Thanks for your reply, the result is not perfect but acceptable, also good for knowing that solving it is in progress.

I apologize if my previous comment cause you any displease. I really enjoy Ayameduki's race and your mods optimizing the experience. Hope your work could be continued. It is a bless to use your mod.
WRelicK  [author] 28 Sep, 2023 @ 3:12am
Hello there! Thank you for letting me know, and I'm very sorry for all the trouble.

FAWD, ARFA and THIGAPPE are currently in an awkward state in regard to the nexaga. Right now, it seems these mods should not be used together with the nexaga. ARFA uses too low of a FA head offset for FAWD's replacement textures. However, this will all be permanently resolved in an upcoming update to THIGAPPE.

Until the update releases, I recommend these workarounds:
1. Run ARFA and THIGAPPE, but remove the highlighted line here [imgur.com] in the LoadFolders.xml file directly under THIGAPPE's directory. This will simply make THIGAPPE not affect the nexaga.
2. Play without my mods for now, adding them in later at your discretion.

If you need FAWD for non-Aya races, workaround 1 should also work if you disable Aya race support through FAWD's mod settings.

Once again, I thank you for your time and effort. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.
藤原蛋紅 27 Sep, 2023 @ 10:01pm
It took me three days to test, and I still can't find the right order to load the Nexaga body textures this mod claimed. No matter how I change the order of FAWD, races, ARFA, THIGAPPE, and change setting through XML, the best result I have is all race with normal face but Nexage pawns always without outfitting disorder. I never see Nexaga body textures expected except tired of testing and about to abort this mod now.
WRelicK  [author] 28 Jul, 2023 @ 7:39pm
(Continued)

Regarding your second question, I only use VEF for most of my testing and experience no blurry texture problems. In full campaigns I've used Graphics Settings+ in addition. For best results, I'd try experimenting with all three, as the precise formula can be hard to nail down. But HD Pawn Rendering is not strictly necessary to support 512x512 textures.

And for your final question, I've found that APP and THIGAPPE impact performance relatively little. There are reports of FA being worse, but personally I haven't found that removing it helped my late game performance to any significant degree. APP and FA both have mod settings that let you tweak rendering to theoretically improve performance. Other than that, the deciding factor is ultimately going to be how many pawns are on the screen at one time.
WRelicK  [author] 28 Jul, 2023 @ 7:39pm
Hey! Thank you so much for your words of appreciation and the detailed report. I'm very happy you enjoy the mod so much.

The errors seem to result from not loading any races FAWD adds support for. Since FAWD is first and foremost a HAR Facial Animation extension, I didn't expect people to use it for humans alone.

If you want to scale down human heads without using HAR, I'd recommend using Stylish Rim and leaving FAWD inactive. If that doesn't work for your case, I could make some amendments to the patches. But it would still require HAR to resize properly due to the race-specific rendering settings FAWD relies on.

For your first question, those notes I made are a bit outdated by now. THIGAPPE and FAWD are mostly decoupled except for the nexaga. Especially if only playing with humans, you can safely use THIGAPPE without FAWD and vice versa. I'll probably remove these warnings once I push the upcoming THIGAPPE update. Apologies for the confusion.

Greetings, @WRelicK, hope you're well. Thanks for creating these mods for us all to enjoy a much more beautiful story on the Rim.

May I please ask your help with these 4 red errors, and a few general concerns?

Main menu log:

https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/98cb13c5843d81a99e2d42735596ab80

Reproduction:

A) Delete all game files, mods, and configs, then cleanly reinstall
B) Mods, RimPy sort - Harmony, Core, All DLCs, HugsLib, Facial Animation - WIP, Facial Animation - Experimentals, Compatible Body 2, Apparel Paper Pattern, APP BodyType Overrider Extension, FAWD, THIGAPPE, XML Extensions
C) The errors occur at the main menu, and still happen if HAR is added; restarted in case they were first run only errors

Please let me know if there's anything else I could do to assist in any other way.

(continued below)
gorlim 27 Jul, 2023 @ 4:41pm
And might I please ask:

1) THIGAPPE's description mentions it was designed for use with FAWD, and that we "may run into problems I didn't anticipate" without it. But if not using HAR, can we still use FAWD to enjoy your aesthetic human head scaling? And can THIGAPPE work well without FAWD, in the context of not having HAR in a modlist?

2) In helping a user on 12/28/22, you noted that disabling Texture Caching in VEF could fix blurry textures. However, mods like HD Pawn Rendering (which allow 512x512 pawn textures and some other optimizations over vanilla's rendering), force enable VEF's Texture Caching and so stop the solution. May I ask your preferred way of enabling Compatible Body 2's 512x512 textures with THIGAPPE and/or FAWD?

3) And may I ask about late game performance, and any suggestions to improve it if necessary?

Thanks again so very much for your help, WRelicK, and the extraordinary patience and friendliness you've always shared in these comments. Be well!
WRelicK  [author] 15 Jun, 2023 @ 12:55am
Good to know, thank you for sharing! The debug loop is always a tumultuous cycle, indeed. These nexaga-related issues should no longer be a problem when I publish the next THIGAPPE update.
zzzdragon25 14 Jun, 2023 @ 12:53am
Never mind, I fixed the issue manually by copy the modified hair textures and replace the original ones of Nexaga mod.

And I also try put ARFA + THIGAPPE together, not surprisingly, bugs appeared. This time, the issue is wrong relative position of face and body texture with weird face scale. I debugged for a while and found faceAdjustment defs for Nexaga in ARFA is the cause. Because the parameters are suit to original body texture. The resolution is banned faceAdjustment defs and world peace!

If you have heavily modified your game, this will be your daily routine (Add new mod => adjust mod order and check compatibility => start => error => debug, infinite loop.) The above content is a little personal experience sharing.
WRelicK  [author] 10 Jun, 2023 @ 9:56am
Hey there! The nexaga can unfortunately be quite buggy right now. This ultimately results from a few odd texture replacements. At the time, they were included so I didn't have to draw new masks for THIGAPPE. I'm going to publish an update that makes nexaga support more conventional in the near future.

Until then, I'd recommend you try using Stylish Rim to correct the offsets. Changing your load order and using THIGAPPE may also help.
zzzdragon25 10 Jun, 2023 @ 6:38am
Wrong position of hair texture while creating Nexaga race pawn was noted. I've tested with character editor and find it didn't refer modified hair texture but original one. I am using newest HAR and Facial Animation - WIP. What can cause the issue?
paranoiasavedthecat 19 Apr, 2023 @ 7:01pm
All issues have been settled and bugs squashed. Many of these issues were not at all WRelicK's fault, but we found a few and friendship along the way. All is right in the world.

It must be stated for the official record that he is in fact the absolute gigachad big dick OG that all the girls have told you he is and none of us are good enough to stand within his presence. It is by his sheer magnanimous mercy that we are allowed even a picosecond of his day.

now to wage war on his favorite waifu races with laser weapons.
WRelicK  [author] 18 Apr, 2023 @ 4:11pm
Are you perhaps using Ayameduki Race Facial Animations alongside FAWD without disabling FAWD's support via XML extensions? That looks like what happens to the Ayameduki races in such cases.
paranoiasavedthecat 18 Apr, 2023 @ 4:05pm
Well fuck dude, I spoke too soon. Whatever I did fixed the vanilla pawns from CB2 but broke the waifu mods

WRelicK  [author] 18 Apr, 2023 @ 3:58pm
Huh. All's well that ends well, I suppose. And I gotta say, that is a very unique reason for using my mods. Your ambitions bring tears to my weebly eye, but I hope you enjoy all the same!
paranoiasavedthecat 18 Apr, 2023 @ 3:45pm
I pushed FAWD in the load order before Compatible Body2 and for some reason decided to verify the game's integrity. Something updated, although steam doesn't tell me what, and the issue is resolved. Not sure which of the two steps did it.

I've worked really hard to get all these waifu mods in and find vanilla bodies that were similar in art style.

I've been anxious to get home from work all day so I can declare war on all this waifu-bait and cleanse the galaxy with glittertech weapons and holy nuclear flame, so you can imagine how hard it was on me to see things broken.
