yeah I just tried using it on a factory myself (since the ranches are considered factories) but I'm getting the same problem.

The $NO_LIFESPAN tag does not seem to work.

It just returns an error that "the machines are broken."

If you know exactly how to get this working then I will consider implementing the change but for now it has to be rolled back.

you could try adding $NO_LIFESPAN to remove the need to rebuild the building (pretty sure it also removes renewal of machinery)

Nothing I can do to change maintenance costs. Cheaper just to let it fall to ruins and rebuild it.

Can you make the same "fix" for the "irrigated Cattle Field V2" as you did for the Irrigated Farm?

The one which works all season and takes grain and water? It is also missing a water storage and a connector.

These are purely grass fed cattle and the grass stops growing in the winter. If you want to feed cattle in the winter then crops would also be required as a production input. I could easily add that as a variant.
