I really like the theme of the person reliving his memory over and over.
I also have had issues with the candles.
I linked a potential in the discord thread as well, but here is a short example on how to do resilient animations that don't can handle timing/game errors with resiliency. Instead of the animation toggling on logic and keeping track of it, doing it this way just commands the animation to be on, or off.
