Yeah, I figured I could replace the old heavy with the scrublords one, at least until a proper heavy gets featured. Then I would either replace scrublords guy or make it a really expensive special unit or something.

I have another update for these and a number of other factions but my internet has been broken for weeks now. I'll probably keep working on my factions so I will eventually update all of them with the latest stuff i've learned plus some new lua tricks provided by some awesome lua wizards.

Alright, ppl. After a long ass time... I've finally dragged myself into updating all 4 GWTB factions. Spec Ops and submachine guns plus some small edits here and there.

Hey, nice mod dude, just a little thing I wanted to say: the flamethrower knockback on ennemy looks a bit ridiculous and half the time I am more sending ennemy flying than killing them, apart from that, it's a great mod

A long time as I discovered your mod still on forum, he long worked without problems. And in the last month of the mod is simply not displayed in the game.

All of the GWTB factions need some rebalance, similar to what I did for my fallout factions. Shotguns shouldn't be able to penetrate armor so easily... actually most weapons in these factions can penetrate power armor so I'll probably port the ammo type system I developed last time I modded this game. Also, I think it's time to work on a new unit type. Maybe the medieval ones from GWTB Legends? I have better knowledge of melee weapons so yeah.

Woah. I had no idea there was a way to "silence" weapons so they don't alert enemies when fired. This will be perfect for the Combat Knife.

I don't think it's unfinished. Well it doesn't have fancy campaigns like other games, but the thing i like about this game is every scene is different. The dev sure should do something interesting to this but he's busy developing Planetoid Pioneers.

Thanks! Also, yeah. The game has that unfinished feel about it, which is like the main reason people end up abandoning it, including myself. I just recently came back to update these old mods and maybe get more lua understanding to make better ones soon.

All factions have been updated. Combat knieves are one of the new additions, which all troops but Snipers and Comanders will have in their loadouts. The AI will prefer using guns over them unless you get too close. Knieves can only damage unarmored bodyparts and attacking pulls the user and pushes the target away so melee combat is a constant struggle to either stab the enemy in the face or crush them against a wall or floor. Knieves also have a chance to disarm enemies of their guns and force enemies to use their own knives.

I get a crash from this saying

The last frame has been dumped to the 'abortscreen.bmp'

After some forum and files lurking, I read there's a sniper ai that kicks in when you add a soldier into the "snipers" group in the files. It makes better at spotting and dealing with enemies so I will add snipers as their own soldier class. :P

Alright, all 4 factions have been updated. In addition to the new unit type, bugfixes and the changes I mentioned before, I also made so edits to the facemasks to make them a bit more detailed.

It's almost ready. It's all working as intended. The fuel tanks can take 3 or 2 hits before exploding but a Yellows Sniper Rifle usually explodes them in one it, which makes Yellow snipers really effective against Flamers facing the other way. It makes killing them up close really dangerous sometimes since the explosion also spawns napalm for some seconds.

The only thing I'd like to be able to do is to let Flamers use flamethrowers from the other factions. I have yet to learn how to do that though I know it's possible.

I'm working on a next update. I'm not sure everyone would like it so I will mention it here for those interested.
I will add Flamers as a soldier type. This means they are the only ones that can use Flamethrowers so the weapon will not be for sale but instead will come with the unit in its inventory.
Their Jetpack will look like Fuel Tanks and will not be as strong as the one in normal soldiers and it will explode when damaged, possibly killing the Flamer and leaving the area burning for a moment.
