Is there any way to get it working with vanilla as well?
By the way: using the term hardware cursor might help with search-ability; it took a while to find this.
It just displays that cursor, with no border, under the native system cursor.
----------
No errors or anything, just slightly distracting.
Just change the cursor color to white or something to make it less distracting.
This mod is semi-compatible with other mods that change the cursor.
1 problem: Settings menu has the default cursor background present.
=====
I would like it if these other native operating system cursors were also included:
----------
-Help Select
-Location Select
-Person Select
-Working in Background
-Busy
-Handwriting
This is a simple change and I've been playing with it (downloaded your source code and made the change to test it out) just fine, all it'd need is to add the following line in build.txt:
side = Client
Adding that made it a proper client-only mod for me and I could use it on our server without needing to add it to the server (if it's a normal mod like it is now, joining a server without it unloads the mod)
Can't wait to try it
Been using Native Cursor for awhile now and it's dope - it actually IMPROVES performance.
But... I know Windows handles how it changes the cursor in a specific way and I'm not sure if it can be as simple as something like coding the cursor to change to different native Pointers when the Terraria hotkeys for Auto-Select Tool, Favourite, Trash etc are used...sounds like a nightmare.
If it is possible though that would be insane as I already have a Pointers Scheme set ready.
