I've left the game for some time now and unfortunately don't have a clue at this point. One of the reasons I left is directly related to this problem: the developers are constantly restructuring systems without notice or testing. Wish I could help but I don't have any intentions on reinstalling the game. Sorry.

i was on a trip from camodo to the cold island (cant spell its real name) with two cars it started off strong with 144 kph then dies down to 60 and started to dies down some more what happened???

Hi Lriy, the center monitor integrates with my SBS Railroad Track Switcher environment mod...

With that mod any nearby Railroad Track Switchers will communicate with the train by radio and show you their status. You are seeing NO SIG because the default railroad track switches don't communicate their states. Therefore there is no signal detected. If a signal was detected it would change the centre monitor to a display representing the current track setting. Note that my system still works with default track switchers in that it uses the same output channels to remotely tell the track switchers to change.

Hi Operator, the throttle on the Diesel engine is automatic. All you should have to do is turn on the Diesel engine and it will automatically adjust the throttle to try to maintain a full charge on the batteries.

On the monitor that reads the temperature you will see a box with HEAT writtnen inside it... click on that box.

Hi Monsterman365. I just tried both the MK.1 and MK.2 and I'm not having any problems. I start the engines, sit in the control seat, hit 1 to turn off the parking brakes and then use w/s to control the requested speed. Everything working as expected. Not sure what is happening for you. Are you running an external mods through a loader?

Hi Samsara... with regards to MK.3. No plans. Just returning after a long absence due to some health concerns.

Just will not work i followed the instructions exactly and didn't even turn the lights in case that is what broke it and it did nothing no movement at all the engine rps was stuck at 5 no mater the requested speed and the engine made no noise at all
Here is what i did to start the train please tell me if i did anything wrong:
1. Press the engine on button in the control cabin
2. get in the seat and press 1
3. press w to increase speed

After these steps nothing happened i also tried turning the breaker on and off again i also had the same problem with the MK. 1 but that engine made a pinging noise instead of the silence of this engine.

Hi ATJonzie. What direction are the cars going relative to the engine that is controlling them? The front direction of the cars is the end with the controls on it. If the engine that is set to Master is in a position where its front is in the opposite direction you need to click on the additional button in the Motor Assist panel which will specific your car is opposite to Master. The bottom section of the radial segment will light yellow indicating that configuration.

Hi Shadowslay3r. Unfortunately no. I was considering building a Hot Spot mapping for the switches but with the introduction of the Industrial DLC and the addition of the "many more" switches the number of path combinations grew exponentially. I may look at something like MrNJersey build where you can see the state of each switch on a map and change them through console commands. The only thing I found with that is there was a fair amount of lag as each zone had to report in.

The Master/Slave system allows a single PUMA engine, set as Master, to control any other SBS cars system if they are set as Slaves. It's primarily used to control a second PUMA that may be on the other end of a train setup in order to provide additional pulling/pushing power. The SBS family of train cars also can operate as Slaves and have Electric motors that drive their bogeys.

Master is turned on by default on all PUMA engines. It uses radio to broadcast controls such as requested speed, braking, horns and lights to all other cars that are set to the same frequency. All you have to do then on cars you want to control is set them in to Slave mode and identity if the car is going in a reverse direction to the Master

Hi Orbit. You spawn in the PUMA first and then drive it out of the spawn area. Exit the engine car, return to the workshop and spawn in the passenger car. At that point either get behind the passenger car and push it in to the engine car or return to the engine car and reverse it. Once it's connected go in to the passenger car and turn on the Motor Assist system (see description in the write up on the Passenger Car) so that it will slave to the engine and use electrical motors on the bogeys to help move the train.

For any other cars or engines you want to attach just repeat

New Version uploaded...
- Changed Bogies to the new variant and adjusted the swing movements to accommodate
- Added an "Angular Speed Adjust" system that uses am Yaw Angular Speed Sensor to reduce speed when cornering to ensure train stays on rails. The adjust can optional be turned off and sensitivity adjusted up and down using the compound block located to the rear left of the driver.
- Added a GPS Speed control system similar to the Electric version of the train. Default GPS speed is 45 m/s and can be adjusted up and down using the compound block to the right of the driver.

Well the new update with train wheels makes it that you now actually have to "drive" the train now. No more taking tight corners at 242 km/hr like it's on rails. :) Now it will fly off the rail. I'm working on implementing the new bogies on the PUMA MK2 with adjusted movement arms. With driving required now I'm looking to reduced the max speed on the GPS so that it should stay on the rails at all times. The max speed for manual will be the same but it will be up to the driver to slow down appropriately for corners. I will be putting the MK1 in to Legacy and will only be updating the MK2 Regular and Electric Trains moving forward.

Hi CreativeMan. Definitely planning on it. Just need to find the time. The simpliest option is to put a deck on the frame care and add connectors but I don't want it simple. I'm considering build two options... one that is simple and the next that would have a crane assembly that could be used to offload the containers. Just need to find the time. :)

Hi Grande1900. I may in the future but I'm very busy in RL right now. As $nak€.3321 indicated you could swap out the wheels. The only thing is that you may need to rework the bogey movement arm in order to accommodate the fact that the new wheels don't pivot like the classic. Right now the train works fine since the Classic Assembly is still supported. I may revisit trying the new wheels but that would be in a MK3 version.

Just swap the wheels and reconnect logic, its pretty easy. Train is stable even at max speed most of the times, but rail switches and even bridges are problem. Some kind of predictive anti-derail system needs to be implemented in order to be able to use the autopilot, which shouldn’t be a big problem while we have SBS Railroad Signals replacement.
