_cam_Distance = _camPos distance _unit;
This would compare measure distance between camPos in ASL and unitpos in AGL, therefore the laser would not work on grounds over 200m.

the gun model doesnt have LOD "proxy:\a3\data_f\proxies\weapon_slots\side.001" ,so it didnt get the offset
I fixed it with "proxy:\a3\data_f\proxies\weapon_slots\side" and it works

It doesn't works with the shields from the cup weapons, it's posible to fix that? The rest of the weapons from the same mod works properly, just the shields doesn't.

by me research ,I cant force friendly laser on or equip them by default without affect other people (that will be server side)
and I dont have time to keep adding new stuff for it ,I still have tones of task to do
if want to switch IR or visible laser you can load ACE this mod is compat with it

the laser model is not made by me ,in arma lighting would affect model looks ,so i cant fix that

But you need somehow the ability to switch only to the IR range, if only because during the day you can see the IR beam through the glasses of the thermal imager, but it is hidden from the enemy.
The ideal option is the ability to enable any option and adjust as on a real device. And preferably with a vanilla pointer. Thus it would be all in one. (IR pointer, visible pointer, visible point only and IR and IR lights and a simple flashlight. (Universal device for all ranges)

painting AI Laser color ?🤔 that's a tough request, but I let you paint your own laser color from CBA
the CBA adjustable color will be a standalone one
Or maybe just make different versions, let us test it and then decide which one is better.

If you do what I wrote below, your addon will be compatible with @BettIR (Legacy v0.2.1)
So that all units with a standard laser device on weapons *vanilla and from Sahara DLS) would have your visible laser SQUAD always added by default.
Thus, if the player activates this in the addon settings, everyone will have a pointer and adjust the color through the painting of the squad.
