I feel like it sort of insists upon itself, y'know? Like, you start with a bee weapon (and will even respawn with it every death in mediumcore). Almost every enemy drops pollen, etc etc. Instead of feeling like another class *choice*, the mod thrusts it in your face.
Have you considered making it so you have to start your journey into beekeeping by crafting something? Maybe an apiary furniture item would be cool. Also maybe making pollen use a system sort of like seeds for blowpipes or vine ropes with that one book, where to get the relevant items you have to be marked as a bee keeper by carrying the stuff on your person.
Maybe you could go really unique and make pollen a material farmable from growable flowers.
Idk, just something to make it stand apart as a strong class contender to make it unintrusive to games where people will be playing as something other than a beekeeper
