Weapons in front of shields? how do you do that !?
I checked lots of Medieval overhaul player screen shot,everypawn's weapon are render behind shield...

Really amazing for such a simple mod, I was planning on using giddy up for caravans only becuase having to manually mount pawns was terrible, but this mod makes it so easy it's awesome.


I would suggest adding an option in the animals tab where you can decide if the animal can be picked when using the mount button, for example I don't want pawns trying to mount that one animal without leg, walking would be faster.

Update, not sure what the cause is. This mod currently breaks for me. When you draft pawn they lose their UI. I am not sure what going on. Currently reverted back to 1.3 and it still happens I am not sure. Just wanted to warn people.

Alright guys I am focusing on my grad work while also having a depression. I will consider your suggestion in the future maybe once the new dlc is out. I also have a world exploration mod 95% done but needs more polishing before releasing.

Any chance you could implement an option to respect the 'mount by master/anyone' toggle on the animals tab? I'd rather not be forced to turn off every creature I don't want to auto-mount when a feature exists that seems perfect for it. This is an improvement over going to settings because then I can still mount muffalos for example in a caravan but not in my colony, where I usually would mount for speed and combat.

@thailyn No it just selects the nearest unclaimed mount, and it is probably near-optimal so it wouldn't make much difference in most cases I think.

I was planning out how to create a mod for this (have only done XML patching before), so you have saved me a ton of work! :)

From the description, it sounds like the Mount button just tells the pawns to find a mount, and then the player can queue up other commands after that. When pawns find a mount to go to a job with Giddy-Up (Ride and Roll?), they look for the one that will get them to the destination the fastest, so they can pick a further-away mount if it is sufficiently faster. Do you account for a destination when the pawns are told to mount? Thanks!

@TheLastBulletBender You're right, it is, and normally I'd ask them about it first. Unfortunately, at least according to the mod page, they are "no longer active as modder." If you do have some time to take a look at it, that'd be cool. If not, well, I'll live lol.

Hey nice mod. Dunno if it's the right place to ask, but do you know if there's a way to change or toggle the default automatic mounting behavior to start off (unchecked). Kinda falls under QoL, I think

This will make mounting very large animals easier too since they often have a strange activation spot, like the various dragon mods around for example.
