So apparently with the "Flames" event you can turn a rivalry into a romance, even if the characters are family. I assume this was an oversight, so I figured it was worth a mention.

disabled event 'night crawler'.
(for now, you can still re-enable that event from the comic editor, but i'll be reworking the whole thing for my new mod)
Stanfreed  [author] 9 Jan @ 11:08pm
Heads up that I'm gonna remove the event "Night Crawler" and improve/expand upon it in my new upcoming mod [Dungeons & Denizens]
Jack Smythe 25 May, 2024 @ 12:38pm
Thanks!
Stanfreed  [author] 22 May, 2024 @ 6:15pm

Stanfreed  [author] 22 May, 2024 @ 5:02pm
Thanks, I'll make an update tonight!

Been enjoying these events, but the event 'Introductions!' seems to fire every time you recruit a legacy character, often overriding other events according to the log.
Jack Smythe 18 May, 2024 @ 4:59pm
Having a similar issue as before with "Introductions" where it triggers on every legacy recruitment, including multiple times in a playthrough.
Stanfreed  [author] 5 May, 2024 @ 2:54pm
added event "how about a hug?"
Stanfreed  [author] 4 May, 2024 @ 3:39pm
Added event "lovely buggers"
Jack Smythe 15 Mar, 2024 @ 10:06pm
Awesome, thank you!
Stanfreed  [author] 19 Feb, 2024 @ 8:37am
Updated, both "reconnections" and "looking out" have their encounter scores at 10
Stanfreed  [author] 19 Feb, 2024 @ 8:19am
Just double checked, the encounter score is 11 (the default is 10) so it'll prioritize over other events normally.
I'll set it back to 10 before tonight in an update
Jack Smythe 19 Feb, 2024 @ 7:35am
Is there some factor that makes Looking Out more likely to occur? I keep having it happen every adventure as the first battle of Act 2 and, while I like the event, having it happen every time is getting a bit much
Stanfreed  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 8:42am
Added tidings "suffer."
Jack Trades 17 Jan, 2024 @ 2:41am
The event where you defend a village to possibly recruit a sibling of one of your characters resulted in me getting a Mystic with Crippling Strikes.

Stanfreed  [author] 3 Jan, 2024 @ 5:54pm
Not sure how to fix that tbh. I'm pretty sure during the starting event "reconnections", I set the outcomes so that they're siblings... It should be persisting:philosophizing:
jaguarrach 2 Jan, 2024 @ 10:02pm
Slight problem with "Looking Out." When I recruit the hero's sibling, if they go on to have children, those children are not listed as "family" for that hero or their children the way such family members usually are. Even the sibling disappears from the "family" section if the hero goes on to have another adventure, and presumably vice versa, though I haven't done that yet.

Mystic casual armor is quite strong, being a lot better than the DLC's Mountainthroft armor (lower by 1 warding and 15 stunt chance for a passive that gives 1 potency at half health, so you have to put them in harms way or else it is strictly worse). Stunt chance + potency on one item is very valuable and rare so I've found it staying on my mystic permanently like an artifact lol
2000wires 29 Dec, 2023 @ 10:25pm
Alright, Thanks. Sorry if I was rude at all, I just very tired and frustrated.
Stanfreed  [author] 29 Dec, 2023 @ 6:20pm
the event is called "Looking out", you can check everything there from the comic editor too:steamthumbsup:
Stanfreed  [author] 29 Dec, 2023 @ 6:19pm
@2000wires You need to have at least 2 legacy points before you complete the battle to get the other two options (recruit). If you don't, they won't appear, just the one where you gain 4 legacy points (sibling joins town guard)
2000wires 29 Dec, 2023 @ 2:11am
I had a event where I had to fight a much larger horde than normal to recruit a sister of a character, which had caught me of guard at least two times when I had a smaller team than usual, and then when I finally complete it, the only freaking option was to have her join the town guard! I thought I was actually getting another fighter! But apparently this happens. Are there certain conditions that prevent me from fulling recruiting her or is it bugged or what?
Riven 5 Oct, 2023 @ 5:16pm
This mod seems very interesting!

Stanfreed  [author] 27 Jul, 2023 @ 9:51pm

Stanfreed  [author] 24 Jul, 2023 @ 11:55am
Working all day on this thing, gah damn, lol

Stanfreed  [author] 2 Apr, 2023 @ 10:35pm
thanks, i'll look into it:bosshappy:
Gulkmoss 2 Apr, 2023 @ 9:19pm
I think the coding of the "First Mission" event might need some tweaking - the way it's currently set up, it's possible for siblings to become romantically involved. I think the issue could be with how the event detects romantically available heroes - for option 3 to show up, the event detects if hero5 exists, but creates a romantic relationship between hero4 and the npc.
Maxihzb 24 Mar, 2023 @ 8:03pm
Great mod!
Stanfreed  [author] 6 Feb, 2023 @ 2:17pm
2 new events now available in [Family Matters], "Sparring Practice" is a repeatable ambushed event that allows you to grind for a few experience points, without risking death or maiming.
Stanfreed  [author] 23 Dec, 2022 @ 1:03pm
Added 2 tidings "Truth or Dare" and "Dark Humor"
Stanfreed  [author] 21 Dec, 2022 @ 8:29pm
Updated
CornishGH 21 Dec, 2022 @ 6:31pm
Setting it to require a child already sounds like a good idea! Especially with the other sibling content the mod adds I think it'd fit well.
Stanfreed  [author] 21 Dec, 2022 @ 4:35pm
I set the age to 40, since that's the ideal age parents would be once their child reaches adulthood:philosophizing:

How about requiring they already have a child? (I think I set it as optional in the tiding)
Stanfreed  [author] 21 Dec, 2022 @ 4:30pm
I could lower the encounter score from 10 to 9, but then the event would never show up...
Or make the trigger requirements more difficult
CornishGH 21 Dec, 2022 @ 3:11pm
Re: Promise of adventure, guaranteed once and only once every campaign (that has a pair of lovers in it), or at least that's what it seems like to me. Apart from seeing the same event a lot it's actually nice to have more kids though, especially for 5 chapter campaigns.
Stanfreed  [author] 21 Dec, 2022 @ 12:28pm
Thanks for the heads up, Bi heroes are tricky since they count as both gay and straight, lol
I'll see what I can do.

For promise of adventure, you mean that it's triggering multiple times per campaign, or that it seems like a guaranteed event per campaign? (I don't think I messed with the encounter score...)
CornishGH 21 Dec, 2022 @ 8:34am
I think insecurities might be triggering incorrectly on bi heroes with lovers that aren't of the same gender as them. Also, promise of adventure seems to be triggering almost every time the conditions (lovers over 40) are met. I'm not sure I mind that though, kids were a bit too rare in vanilla wildermyth
Stanfreed  [author] 18 Dec, 2022 @ 2:40pm
Added defeat event "Shining Hope":steamhappy:
Wavypavy 23 Sep, 2022 @ 10:18pm
Not sure if it's just this mod or something else is contributing, but I got an event when recruiting in town where a sibling was recruited as well as a level 0 character of the same class. When I entered the first battle with this character my game got stuck on the ability choice screen for the character. The click noise for hitting an option is working, but clicking doesn't add the ability and move on to the battle. The issue also persists when reloading the save at the start of the battle.

My other recent save was before doing the recruitment, so I wasn't able to test whether the issue occured if I reloaded before entering battle.
Stanfreed  [author] 21 Sep, 2022 @ 9:37pm
It shouldn't. I didn't touch the core armors
