can you output all 8 targets into one composite channel?
Fastwolf90 11 Oct, 2024 @ 9:15pm
i have it hooked up right on the right side of my ship. and for some reason its displaying backwards and its not reading the coordinates on the right side correctly. do you have a fix for that?
Fastwolf90 17 Sep, 2024 @ 7:22am
only one thing i found wrong. i put it on the right side of my ship and everything is backward
Arelium 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:27am
Does anybody know which one gives out the target's XYZ and velicotiy data and on which channels?

is it possible to connect this into the modular radar MC / Coordinate integrator MC that you created so that this can be slaved to it as a tracking radar that can be assigned so i could have like 5 of these and assign to the lock onto radar contacts from the larger search radar side note do you plan to update the aforementioned MC to also be able to handle composite signal in from the new radars? cheers

this is incredible, it's better version of stabilised camera
tony gordo 25 28 Mar, 2023 @ 7:29pm
Man, this thing is absolutely sick.
But is there a way to make the camera point to the current target?
Instead of just outputing the location, maybe add a button that will lock the camera in position?
I've tried it myself, but its way out of my capabilities lol.

@FN-20 how can i increase the (horizontal) speed of the stabilizer? its too slow for me....
kmchsck 3 Nov, 2022 @ 12:47am
upside-down version has same altimeter offset value(0.5) as the normal version of it. Should I change the value to -0.5? I'm not sure if it's compensated by "Installation Posture" property or not.
BOOMmyself0 21 Oct, 2022 @ 5:28am
is there a way for me to tune the pid to make the stabilization more accurate. when i mounted this to the top of my turret, it would often overtune and make the ballistic computer wobble
Inverspe 30 Sep, 2022 @ 8:13am
bruh how do i change it to wasd controls

You can adjust the filter strength with the "Smoothing tick" in the microcontroller's property. Technically this is not a kalman filter, but it works to reduce radar noise.
BOOMmyself0 28 Sep, 2022 @ 3:12am
does this thing have a kalman filter for the targeting system, and do i need to add one myself?
BOOMmyself0 28 Sep, 2022 @ 3:11am
oh thankyou!

The coordinates selected in the Target Select Display are displayed in a yellow frame on the HUD screen. To make this designator points at target, be sure to check that the color of the target's frame is YELLOW, not white, then press 4 key.

Numeric channels 1, 2, and 3 of the composite signal output from this microcontroller contain X, Y, and Z coordinates, respectively. The coordinates output by the microcontroller depend on what you have selected in the Target Select Display. "K", "L", and "R" on the screen mean to output the coordinates obtained by the keypad, laser, and radar, respectively." X" means that nothing is selected.
BOOMmyself0 27 Sep, 2022 @ 11:16pm
And regarding the composite coordinates the microcontroller gives out, are the coordinates the point where the laser is point at, or is it where the radar detects? And is channel 1 X channel 2 Y and channel 3 Z
BOOMmyself0 27 Sep, 2022 @ 11:14pm
I tried turning on the radar, and a square appears over the target, however the canera does not actually point at the target
FN-20  [author] 27 Sep, 2022 @ 9:03pm
@Heilmyself0
Simply selecting a target in the Target Select Display does not point the target indicator to that target. Activating Lock Current Target mode (in this creation, sit in pilotseat and press 4 key) with the target being selected in the Target Select Display, it starts to lock on to the target.

@Samsung23
Do you envision a use case where this would be integrated into a tank turret, for example? If so, you can use the target coordinates output from this microcontroller to control the turret rotation. (My Turret Rotation Controller has the ability to point the turret to the input target coordinates.)
BOOMmyself0 27 Sep, 2022 @ 7:41pm
I tried using the device to hook up to a ballistic computer, but the aiming reticle does not actually lock onto the target itself
BOOMmyself0 27 Sep, 2022 @ 7:40pm
Hello, is there a way to make the thing ‘lock on’ onto a target?
Samsung23 26 Sep, 2022 @ 9:19am
Can you make a version to add to turrets or add a guide?
trcolka 8 Sep, 2022 @ 7:22am
this is truly amazing
FN-20  [author] 1 Sep, 2022 @ 8:32pm
I have updated this creation. You can control the magnification either by number or boolean signal.
ZETH_27 25 Aug, 2022 @ 11:37am
Is there a way to change the controls for FOV from 1 and 2 to for example up/down?
Gabri3lAl3xand3r 20 Aug, 2022 @ 7:00am
i can use this to correct cruise missiles/artillery strikes where i want them
FN-20  [author] 19 Aug, 2022 @ 8:49pm
It should be possible to connect if there is a system that outputs the orientation of the gun in relation to the input of 3D coordinates. I am working on such an MC, but there are a few things that need to be tested and I don't think I will be able to release it anytime soon.
Mattoony 19 Aug, 2022 @ 4:55pm
was getting an hard time to make this from scratch for month ! it's perfect also the 2 side screen are super usefull !
Stratum 19 Aug, 2022 @ 11:22am
Can you hookup guns to this as a targeting system?
ACE 19 Aug, 2022 @ 2:33am
quite impressive, well done :steamhappy: you have just earnt yourself an award
FN-20  [author] 18 Aug, 2022 @ 3:03pm
The output is X,Y and Z (altitude) in order from ch1. The filter calculates the average of the maximum and minimum values during the past n ticks for X,Y and Z.
ACE 18 Aug, 2022 @ 12:29pm
XYZ output? also does it use a kalman filter?
njunuk 18 Aug, 2022 @ 2:07am
will be good for recon vehicles if i will build one
