Update: This mod currently works if you host the server with the Lua executable instead of Vanilla.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong,
I have lua subscribed and applied, installed lua through install_cl_lua, and even have C# scripting turned on through lua settings, yet it keeps saying that there's no "xprate" command?

other commenters have no idea how lua works, just tested and mod works fine.

For everyone who cant seems to get it to work. You need to have Lua for Barotrauma installed AND have Lua dedicated Server enabled when you start hosting a server. If you do not enable it, the mod brakes.

Any reason why could it not work in a Linux Server ? its runs lua and runs other mod but the XP.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't block achivements. All Lua based mods do not affect it

I'm not sure about single player, since it was designed for multiplayer games. You need to launch with the lua executable when launching a server to be able to use serverside lua commands.
