your ship saved me from being completely stuck on kimi after i had a fender bender with the surface

-the ship helped me to move all the small ships that could not get to orbit on their own
-drag carrier pieces back to the main ship.
-hold in place the corpse of a ward of lothrian that decided to donate its body to science
-helped on assisting the carrier to exit gravity
-keeping me alive after the life support of the carrier became janky

My buddy and I used this to tote around our massive mobile base, the Frontier. It was pretty cool. It became a hassle though trying to hail the base, a cargo container, and the drill rig. I redesigned the cargo modules to mount from the side as well so the mobile base could stack multiple cargo modules alongside while this tug did the mining.

yes. If you only want to use the connector and merge blocks, I recommend removing them.

it feels almost impossible to connect to the modules with the landing gear still installed, are you meant to remove them before docking them or something?

I got here from Luca's review. I could definitely see myself using this as an ore freighter.

I have a ship that relies on this to get in and out of port. It will probably end up in the back ground of some of the pictures. 👍

Thanks! I hope it has a good use.

I'm working on a modular base based on your module design.

I really dig this design. I was planning a ridiculously huge hauler that is modular like this. Nicely done
Captain_chance23 27 Aug, 2022 @ 7:33pm
will there be more modular pieces for the ship? i love this type of stuff

Great... now I have to make a Tug. Very nice!

I didn't even watch the video I was too busy rocking to the music.

YAAAY an awesome, detailed ship that doesn't use DLC!

That's true, it has a lot of conveyors for the lower thrusters,
but it's also build from recycled combat ship parts that have a higher level of redundancy in conveyors.
That is why it has so much of them.

And this ship is based on a barge, primarily the pushing of cargo part.
But I figured out that other functional modules work good on it too, the cargo module can also have production, gyros or thrusters instead of containers. I even managed to get a base to fit in that.

My only complaint is the vast amount of conveyor junctions. A lot of them are unnecessary.

We built this in survival. Pretty excited to use a tug like this. I work as a merchant mariner on a vessel that pushes barges in a similar fashion

@Burn7 great video.
@TheArchSlime you know that I was searching for a tug that look like a ship tug a couple of weeks ago? And you just created one almost similar of what I had in mind.
Now I can tow ships with this :)

I really liked the video, and the quick walk trough with all the info. I subscribed!

Hi, I have decided to do a showcase video with your ship. I hope you like it https://youtu.be/RVZWgxoWcF8
Drach'nyen 21 Aug, 2022 @ 8:24pm
reminds me of Deadly Catch for some reason lmao
ArchSlime  [author] 21 Aug, 2022 @ 3:02pm
Thanks! I'll look into mod.io tomorrow, I tried it previously but never got it to work.
Burn7 21 Aug, 2022 @ 7:22am
This is nice, is possible to add the ship on Mod.io?
Stratus 21 Aug, 2022 @ 5:47am
Pretty Nifty! Looks just like a space tug boat.
