The mod is Highly incompatible with GravyUI. (More like GravyUI is incompatible with this mod)
New item spawned have no tooltip, opening the map result in a empty map and a crash.
Returning to the main menu result in a crash also.
Tested both mod alone and together (Alone they work well but once the 2 mods are loaded, it crashed and cause huge bug).

@bonesbro In my singleplayer it's not showing up in activated mods but in the main menu it's activated

Glad to see someone picked up and updated the mod for the new 2.2 Object Scanner! I've just started a new game using this, myself, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it works.

Also, I did make a version of the original companion that didn't include the debris scanner at all, if that helps. I think I called it the Limited Adventuring Companion.

It isn't picking it up from missions, it seems to be doing the same for the Capital Weapons mod as well. I have it modded on server side. When I get them as random loot drops from missions, I click "Take" I can highlight the mods but when i claim them, I never actually receive them.

Could you share a screenshot of the UI before and after it disappeared? I'd like to investigate but I'm not certain exactly what is missing.

Thanks - I'm working on it. When I tested without it my miners were working, so I was a little confused about the issue, but I was using regular miners and not R miners.

It would eliminate the need for a Raw Mining/Salvaging ship to require the 'Transporter Software' installed on a ship. The UAC provides only half of the 'Transporter Software's capability at current state.

you need the trait "fighter cargo pickup" for r-miner or r-salvage drones to pickup their work product for example

I'll take a look in the next few days. I haven't used fighters very much - what's the specific scenario where the module functionality will help? I want to make sure that I know how to test it.

Sure, I'll take a look. As long as it doesn't produce warnings or errors when installed on ships it looks easy to do.

Yes, you do need to farm a new subsystem - it doesn't replace the existing ones.

During testing I'd given it a different name, but the released version has the same name as yours - it's still "Universal Adventuring Companion". The old version still works in 2.2, and still autohighlights all nearby loot.

is this mutually exclusive with the original? like if i download this, do i have to go farm the subsystems again, or does this replace the Subsystems i already have?
