Looks like this Part of MES is not Server Friendly - The new Grids (changed Version of the Original) have build in Parts like the Thrusters have UNCraftable parts and make the New Blueprints Useless for Player Like Rebuild (u cant Repair it)

Not the biggest fan of the spawn conditions. Warship descended to my base, they told *me* to buggar off, and I lost 650 rep for just standing there. Base obliterated by a "neutral" faction for minding my own business..

Just had our base obliterated by what can only be described as " a few kilotons of heavy armour high off its ass on a couple hundred gyroscopes" then it crashed the server. Fun times.

So without re-uploading this mod how would i change how much shields the ship has or how much damage the blocks take?

The main situation I saw it in is as follows: Assertive Acc cargo ship is flying around. I approach and it spawns drone to attack me. The problem I had was that they would stop spawning drones. I'd get the global messages that accompany a drone package spawn, but no spawns happened. Once I removed a couple of MES mods, the drones would spawn again.

This may be a case of me associating an un-related action with a change in behavior - something else was stopping the spawn, and me reloading the game (in order to switch off the mods) is what fixed it. So I'll pay attention to it a little closer next time.

As the Author - what is the most NPC mods you would suggest we run at the same time?

Conditional spawning is certainly a thing - many of my own mods (this one included) use it as well.

Hmm, wonder if it's an MES mod that you didn't write. I have a couple of those. They may be blocking spawns under certain conditions.

It certainly hasn't been my experience. I had originally developed MES on a toaster of a PC, and more recently a slightly better toaster (still mid-range hardware by any stretch). I've run a bunch of mods together (including several NPC mods) in various stress tests, and I've never hit any sort of memory limitation (though have certainly killed the sim speed!)

If the game was running out of memory though, spawning would not stop - ModAPI doesn't have a way to detect memory state to my knowledge. If the game runs out of memory, it's more likely that it'll crash entirely and throw an OutOfMemory exception in the game log.

The numbers came from much playing. I found that the MES mods would not spawn ships if I didn't have enough memory. For example:

Running Assertive and Imber - normal spawns. Add Incon - ships/drones stopped spawning. Removed Imber - ships/drones started spawning again.

To be fair, I am also running several other non-mes mods that take up memory. I have a memory monitor on another screen that I check, and when my system went over 12gb of ram used (16gb total), NPC ships stopped spawning.

And it makes sense. The game will need more ram to process the additional ships/grids. Once I upgraded my system to 64gb of ram, I've been able to run 4-5 NPC mods with spawning/behaviors being normal.

It's kinda cool to watch the NPCs fight each other, then go in and pick over the remains.

I assure you that the potato computer I developed most of the collection on did not come close to needing that much ram for these mods.

@luisfen The game needs about 8gb of ram per MES NPC mod you have loaded. So if you have 3 Mods, you need 24-32gb of ram for the game to be able to handle the ships and their AI behavior.

Where can I find some of the blueprints for these ships? I found a crashed one and have taken it over and was gonna use the projector to repair it but can't find blueprints in workshop. Thanks

So i accidentally got close to one of their ships, and my reputation scored dropped below 0, which made them enemies. Is there a way to increase my reputation score with them?

While yes, the faction name as well as several ship names are Russian, the faction as a whole is not tied to any nation or nationality in particular.

If you're already hostile with them (ie their signals are red), then yes that's intended. Though they do use some fair detection techniques, so turning off antennas/beacons should help reduce visibility at reasonable distances

There are parameters in the MES Space Cargo Ships config that can push the lane out further. Check the wiki for details.

this has happened to me twice now, pravda ships seem to always patrol a route that runs their attacky shooty range into my base, is there any way I can make them like... not do that?

I am having issues with spawning in the first place. I have been able to get Imber and other MES mods to spawn. I have a big base so should get "threat score". I am in space. I do see combat phase active and ended. Not sure what's next to troubleshoot, not too many mods and the main MES is at the top.

@Meridius The only modded weapons i are WC replace vanilla weapons. I do have weaponcore installed. I will check about the use all terminals as i would think it is on by default.

Are you both using WeaponCore? That behavior with the All Terminals seems unusual (MES doesn't touch any of that end of things). So it would be helpful to know what sort of weapons are in play.

blackbird, check your admin settings make sure that "can use all terminals" is off. I have had other NPCs bug out and nobody could shoot anybody when it was on

So im running into a issue were both IMBER and INCON faction are not shooting at anyone. Friend or foe i fly past the them and they dont shot at all. The drones will fly around me but wont shot. Any ideas or suggestion. Pravda Heavy Industries, Imber Corporation and Independent Contractors are the only mods that add factions to my server. Also got the NPC weapon upgrades. Any help would be appreciate.

They'll start off as neutral / non hostile. But if you get too close or attack, that will -quickly- change.
