Hiya, just wanted to report an issue I found in rpfm - Veil of Shadows doesn't typically grant a debuff when undercast, so the changes you made to its overcast version don't apply to anything. It's an easy fix, though - a new special ability phase needs to be added for the overcast version, and then the contact effect in battle vortexs needs to be applied.

Thanks for doing these, by the way - the changes to Lore of the Little Waagh made my last Skarsnik run really interesting!

also, have some more awards, because this is a total game changer (now that I'm many hours into a Snikch campaign and testing the balance: it feels great and NOT overly powerful)

OK, so this has made me fully lean into an entire vanguard + stalk + assassins + night/ gutter runner build. Everything I wanted Eshin to be, that CA more or less failed to do so.

I immediately fell in love with Alith Anar and his playstyle, ambush, stealth, hit-n-run tactics, as well as some wood elves, also. Even then, I always found that while the Eshin faction offered that style of play, the magic was required to mostly to put the faction close to a level equal to that of Alith and wood elves, Close, I say, because it always fell flat when it mattered.

I really can't thank you enough for making this. I got so tired of the Plague Seers + Warlock + weapon's team builds, just to brute force my way to winning and, while 'win' I did, it gets old fast, because literally 90% other factions play that way. Not many go full stealth and can be successful, late end game.

Thanks again, so much. You're the Eshin god this series needed since The Shadow and The Blade first launched

I have all magic modded. I was just asking because Im planning a rebalance for my collection and I was trying to figure out if I should do that for my single mods as well...

Thanks for the update! So far i'm only using this mod since stealth magic was very underwhelming in vanilla for how cool it looks and lacked any real reason to use over plague.I try to keep the game mostly vanilla and could see myself using more mods like this for magic that really need it like some of the game 3 Lores of magic :steamthumbsup:

I rebalanced the mod.
I took away damage from both vortexes and added a difference in debuffs to veil of shadows.
Not overcast now does half but costs less.

I would like to know if you use the single mods rather than the collection?

I'm of the opinion it should lose the damage entirely to make Veil of shadows and Black whirlwind keep its place.The debuff and disrupt on Veil of Shadows plus Toxic Rain really make the Eshin assassination and skirmish play style shine.Either way nice mod that makes Eshin magic worth using! :eleven:

Veil of Shadows feels really brokenly op for the costs damage wise and kinda makes Black whirlwind obsolete :(

However the debuffs from it are nice though

@ejire Agreed, I think I meant to say it was literally unplayable at higher difficulties lol

I've been having an awesome campaign with this mod. The buffed Eshin magic has been great for sieges and it feels like a unique faction mechanic now.

Hope this changes makes them usefull to pick against plague priest. Will try it and see if those changes bring them back from the pit of hell of never recruit.

Weak in general in every difficulty to be honest...
Their biggest problem is that they are weaker than plague priest and use the same cap as them. When you have plague magic which deals a lot of damage, buff and debuff, have summons and is usefull in every single composition from monster based to weapon team.
Why would you need eshin magic which deals not that much damage, buff and debuff are not that strong and usefull in every composition and they can't summon???
That's their biggest weakness.

Thanks I'll try this out, Eshin is one of the more interesting magics but was weak on higher difficulties.
