i just realised that the jabs always works normally, until i fight the goomba character, then each time i'll do the jabs the bug will trigger, and for whatever reason this sticks to the character for each battle i use him, until I quit the game and then it will work normally until i fight goomba
I don't know why, this bug may even trigger against other workshop characters but I only found this with goomba
so this may not be a problem with blade knight but rather with goomba, or there is a strange interaction between the two

I uninstalled then reinstalled the character but the bug was still here so I recorded footage of the bug (with horrible quality sorry) here: https://youtu.be/3JTXg-61NNQ
in this state the only things i can do is to press the attack button which will do the third jab for less time than normal or pause the game, and I'm in this state until I get hit

love this guy. really nice all-rounder. but I'd love it if his u-special and d-special had some changes to improve their consistency, though. moving opponents often fly past d-special, and the number of times opponents fall out of u-special offstage (especially angled diagonally down) is countless. regardless, rad character.

Thanks for letting me know! I can't find this bug myself unfortunately, but hopefully i can get a patch out tomorrow with suggestions by other people too. Just to check, try uninstalling/reinstalling the character then try doing the bug again for me please! (Doing this may remove the bug)

the character is great however there's a bug, if you press the direction you're facing (right or left) during the third jab (chain of sword attacks) after that you will be locked doing the second jab repeatedly without being able to do anything else, the only way of stopping this is to get hit so please fix it

will there be compatibilitys?
