@Nicoium I'm pretty sure I've seen a mod that does that here on the Workshop. Have you searched around for it? It could've been for TWW2...
Nicoium 20 Jun @ 8:41am
Oh thank you, I was hoping to find a mod like this for a long time.
If you find time, could you do a mod, where the player spreads trees like a woodelf? I love to paint my map in trees, but also want to do it as beastmen for example, so I could roleplay their rampage a bit easier. An idea where to start so I could mod it myself would be lovely as well.

@High Volate No, this mod doesn't remove corruption FX from battles.

@Tridon This mod removes all corruption textures. You may have a conflicting mod, or maybe their home region just looks like that.
Tridon 12 May @ 10:19pm
This doesn't seem to remove chaos undivided corruption. Trying to play chaos dwarfs but their capital is covered in ash
High Voltage 27 Apr @ 9:56am
Does this also remove the corruotion from battles ?
Fequois  [author] 21 Apr @ 6:28am
I’m glad you like it. Yes, I tend to agree. The corruption graphics isn’t particularly interesting to look at.
lRecluse 21 Apr @ 1:48am
Awesome Thank you! The Campaign Map looks so much better without corruption.
Fequois  [author] 20 Apr @ 8:56am
@IRecluse I've updated the mod now with The Old World campaign support.
lRecluse 20 Apr @ 6:40am
Hi can you make a version for The Old world campaign?
Meraun 14 Jan @ 7:28am
found it
[]Herz[] 18 Dec, 2024 @ 10:09am
Okay, thank you!
Fequois  [author] 18 Dec, 2024 @ 3:17am
It's been a while since I played those guys so I unfortunately can't remember, however, some races do add props like that to the regions they own so it's probably unavoidable, yes.
[]Herz[] 18 Dec, 2024 @ 12:49am
Is it normal that when I play with a Norsca tribe and take over a settlement, lava suddenly appears in the region? It's completely stupid, these exaggerated graphics in the game. It's always bothered me.
Fequois  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 12:32pm
Hi CSY1AKIOI! Yes it is.
CSY1AKIOI 17 Mar, 2024 @ 9:58am
Is this mod save compatible?
Fequois  [author] 26 Jan, 2024 @ 10:22am
@Forechosen Definitely still active! Total War is for life. :D

I want to do a mod like that and I promise I'll look into it if I find myself with some spare time. If it's possible it shouldn't be too difficult to figure it out, really.
Forechosen 25 Jan, 2024 @ 5:11pm
I realise that I'm commenting a long time since the previous comment, I have no idea if you're still active!

But I read in the previous comments you said you were thinking about removing the corruption 'props'. If you're still interested at all, I'd genuinely be so thankful for it! I can't stand the Mortathi corruption graphics!

Just found this mod. I'd like to say that I do enjoy that the terrain graphics, like trees and spikes and stuff still exist because its like a little hint of Corruption instead of the full recolour of the terrain. If you were gonna get rid of all of the corruption graphics including the terrain and trees, then I'd like to see it as two different mods cuz I like that this one keeps the corrupted spikes and trees but removes the ground recolour. :) Just my two cents <3
The Wee Turtles 19 Apr, 2023 @ 6:26pm
This won't work on the Realms of Chaos campaign. However there's a simple fix. Copy the contents of "campaign_combi_corruption.xml.material". Create a new file called "campaign_corruption.xml.material" and then copy/paste the content of the original file to the new one.
SIGMAR GAMING 2 Apr, 2023 @ 6:37am
mainly the control modifiers for skaven corruption is the main issue.
Fequois  [author] 1 Apr, 2023 @ 10:55pm
In what way, Lord Horrik?
SIGMAR GAMING 1 Apr, 2023 @ 5:43pm
would it be possible for you to make a mod that removes all corruption?
Harberto 19 Mar, 2023 @ 8:54am
Good idea, this is very useful to me for the aesthetics of the territory, the bad thing about corruptions, is that they spread in uncontrolled areas (regional), so player perceive more territory than you own and so don't really have control in the territorial aesthetics.
waddysjunk 21 Nov, 2022 @ 6:08pm
ah ok
Fequois  [author] 21 Nov, 2022 @ 10:35am
No it doesn't I'm afraid.
waddysjunk 20 Nov, 2022 @ 5:11pm
does this affect the corruption seen in battle map
Fequois  [author] 12 Nov, 2022 @ 7:57am
Thanks, that's helpful. But how strange! Both textures and shadows are missing.

I'll try and see if I can reproduce this next time I have a moment!
Eudæmonia 12 Nov, 2022 @ 3:39am
Hope that helps!
Eudæmonia 12 Nov, 2022 @ 3:36am
@Fequois I did a before/after comparison with only this mod installed. See: imgur.com/a/I23Az70
Fequois  [author] 12 Nov, 2022 @ 12:47am
@Eudaemonia I have not heard of this before from other users. Does this happen with only this mod enabled?
Eudæmonia 11 Nov, 2022 @ 6:14pm
Hello! I've noticed that while this mod does remove corruption. The ground textures look like they've got a white filter over them, making them look more washed out than usual. Anyone else have this issue?
Fequois  [author] 2 Nov, 2022 @ 11:28am
Do you mean Morathi's actual corruption, or the graphical effects from her corruption type?
Azurewrath 2 Nov, 2022 @ 8:15am
Were you able to remove the corruption from Morathi? That is literally all I want. I can't find a mod for it anywhere!
LerkSkerwerker 29 Oct, 2022 @ 7:19pm
is there a mod that removes ONLY Slaanesh corruption graphics?
Voidwalker 7 Oct, 2022 @ 8:28am
thats great the only corruption das is still on display ist morathi slanesh corruption
GenuinelyEric 10 Sep, 2022 @ 8:48pm
Praise Sigmar for this.
Karol 10 Sep, 2022 @ 5:57pm
For me corruption like slanesh causes huge fps drop. Was hoping this mod would help, but I guess it's those "props" that cause it.
Fequois  [author] 9 Sep, 2022 @ 4:29am
Ar-Pharazôn,

Indeed, you are correct. Thank you for pointing that out.

It's more complicated in TWW3 as it's not tied together with the "ground texture" as it was in the previous two games.

I don't know if it's worth removing those props since it adds some flavour without tainting the whole map, but given the name of the mod I should probably find some time to look into it. I might know how to do it, will check next time I'm at my PC.
Ar-Pharazôn 8 Sep, 2022 @ 12:25pm
An issue I found is that this mod, doesn't clean the corruption ''props'' those spikes, horns, chaos marks on the ground etc, unlike the WH2 version which did. Not too big of an issue really, just wanted to remark that.
Keep doing your amazing work.
Fequois  [author] 6 Sep, 2022 @ 8:57am
Okay, strange. I need to check when I get back home.
The Final Goober 6 Sep, 2022 @ 8:20am
Archaon and N'Kari in Immortal empires.
Fequois  [author] 6 Sep, 2022 @ 6:06am
@Maz, which campaign are you playing? I forgot to include changes for the RoC campaign and I'm away on holidays right now so can't fix it.
The Final Goober 5 Sep, 2022 @ 7:19pm
I tried disabling all mods and adjusting the load order but this mod seems to not work for me at all
Fequois  [author] 1 Sep, 2022 @ 9:49am
@Leaf To my (relatively limited) knowledge you can't edit those details since they're part of the campaign map and there are no tools to edit it, but I'm otherwise happy to be pointed in the right direction.
Gury 1 Sep, 2022 @ 9:28am
Awesome, thanks ...
Leaf 1 Sep, 2022 @ 8:34am
hey bro can u also do something about those lava mosty seen in chaos undivided territory like remove them completely or make it so that they only appear if there is chaos undivided corruption?
Leaf 31 Aug, 2022 @ 8:02am
bro this is also awesome like the no corruption at start
Fequois  [author] 29 Aug, 2022 @ 11:30pm
Great to hear!

Hmm, I don't know what you mean. The magenta light from Slaneesh corruption during battles for example? If so, I don't think I've got time to delve into how to edit lighting, sorry. :steamsad:
The Wee Turtles 29 Aug, 2022 @ 4:19pm
YES! Thank you. This was a must have mod for me on all other games. Any chance you can also remove that awful skylight effect on the battlescreen?
