i was looking for a nuclear warhead that was an instant kill with an only impact, doesn't matter if is expensive (like 800 or 1k of points each) so this way you only could take 1 nuclear missile on a very little ship to make a 3k fleet or something like that. Just look at the Zar's Bomb as example (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTZdE7-1PRs) , the nuclear warhead have to be the last answer and nothing else after it. Make it lethal but with very little explosive range, so you can only take a single enemy ship with it but it's a certain kill.

3 different warheads sounds great!! could be even better if it sound more like a battleship reactor explosion already in the game. Is it possible to make? with radar noises and all that stuff?

Firestorm, those weapons utilize the method I mentioned below. Problem as I said is that missile damage scaling wont work if I use it.

The nuke shells for the MK1500 seem to work very well. Perhaps look at those for inspiration?

The low damage is unfortunately a side effect of how the game handles missile warheads. I have not had time to work on this but I am aware of a solution. I could add a AOE Damage effect instead that will do reliable damage, however this would mean the nukes always deal the same damage regaredless of size. If a few people ask for it I will create 3 different warheads with different AOE damage.

have you considered casaba howitzers? they act like a nuke but instead of a normal explosion, they fire a beam of atomic fire in one direction

I am currently working on adding scaled visual effect size and using a AOE damage module to make nukes a lot more reliable for the next update of this mod

They push ships away but deal relatively low damage. You can use them to throw off spinal weapons and other weapon systems temporarily.

I have tweakd the damage of nukes to be more reliable, however they still underperform. Unfortunately there is not much I can do against that since it is more of an issue with how the game handles missile warheads.

They're doing some damage, but it generaly takes more nuclear torpedoes to kill a target than conventional torpedoes, with both having the same sized warhead.

Nukes are supposed to be atleast partially balanced meaning they will not destroy a ship in one hit. They however have around 5 times the damage potential and 3 times the explosive reach inside a ship compared to a HE missile meaning that a well placed hit can completely disable a ship.

I'm getting similar issues here. I managed to hit a Solomon with 4 nuclear torpedoes, and it barely scratched the paint.

Tried out a nuclear torpedo, rated for 21000hp, it did 750 damage. One mace did twice that against the same target in the same hit location.

Alright, I have unloaded and reloaded the mod, and it seemed like S2 nuclear warheads were doing ~350 damage a hit, despite being rated for 2,240 with a module size of 4 to a Solomon, and Size 3s were hitting just slightly harder with 13 hits on a Solomon dealing 4,600 despite being rated for 2,520 damage each with a module size of 2

Size 1 nukes only deal only around 800 component damage at full explosive load, that might also be the issue.

@Thatoneplayer during my testing the nukes would destroy anything with around 5 hits, they are a bit unreliable though and I have seen a ship get hit and take no damage. Try restarting the mod.

I feel like the Nuclear Warheads aren't doing much. Having tested out S1s, 2s, and 3s, I was having to get dozens and dozens of missile hits just to break 2500 damage, regardless of what size the warhead module was.
I think that perhaps they just have too much armor penetration to do their damage properly? am I setting them up wrong? I quite love the idea, though
