I love the mod, thanks! I was sick of cowardly AI with crap armies.

If the only way they can pose a threat and be challenging for me is for them to cheat...then i say let them cheat.

YOU! - I've been trying to work out what the hell is going on with Ogres and Beastmen for weeks. They basically have God mode on. I've seen a stack of gnobblars raze the Oak of Ages, just watched two stacks of Brettonian knights attack Kazrak, who mostly had just basic gors, and wipe without the BM taking a single casualty. Ogres are ranked 1 and 2 in every game by a factor of 4.

@Shain, I saw T4 buildings on turn 50 (enemy capital "Itza").

My only complaint is excessive free XP for AI. Mazda has 40 lvl on turn 50 and his generals have an average of 30 lvl. I play on legendary difficulty.

Good mod. Constantly finding myself getting hammered by enemy lord mages with spells b2b2b2. Really spices up the battle difficulty.

My only complaint is that it renders critical assassinations useless in the mid to late game due to every enemy hero being over level 20 by turn 50.

When using this mod I've noticed that AI don't build their capitals past tier 3. I'm on VH/VH, turn 40 on Franz with Altdorf almost tier 5 and no AI have built past tier 3. Any idea why that is? I don't have any other mods that could conflict, everything is else is graphical or reskins. Appreciate the work.

Ok i think i fixed it now, not sure if it was the new patch or what but the xp/turn value i had went from adding xp/\turn to multiplying xp gained for AI, since it was set to like 1000xp/turn, it was multiplying the xp from the battles by 1000.

Legendary lords should be around lvl 8-14 by turn ~10 now, not level 50.

I dont use any other mod that boost character XP, just a X2 skill per lvl one.
I ve just modified the files to reduce a little bit the XP the characters gain but it could be useful for other players to reduce it yourself or put in the description that AI characters will be very strong early game with it.
By the way, testing it I saw that the thing that feels excesive is the lvl AI characters gain after a battle, not passively per turn.
After firsts battles almost all playable AI races get to lvl 16 or more.

Hey, I love your mod, finally warhammer 3 can feel more like warhammer 2 again. :)
Still I have the same issue like the previous comments since the new dlc. By turn 20 I had to fight a level 50 Imrik with an almost only fire damage Drazhoath army. It was something.
The only other mods I had running are solely visual (settlement reskin, softer corruption and dismemberment overhaul).

@Arnmazing @Keman , Are you also using any other mods that boost character XP? I don't want to be making too many changes since I'm not play-testing myself and just going off the experiences of others, my recommendation if you want to keep using the mod is either take it as a challenge (the intention of this mod), or edit the files and decrease the xp/turn.

I think the character XP per turn is a little bit over the top. By turn 5 ghorst is already lvl 40.
If it is intended I can live with that haha but is hard as fuck having to fight against three dragons in Imrik army by turn 4 (the imrik and the fire mage one and the one of his starting army)

@Keman With all the production cost reductions + increased income the AI should be able to upgrade faster, build better units, and snowball after winning a few battles. Reducing the upkeep more will give them all of the above + endless armies even with low infrastructure. I'm not playing WH3 currently so i can't playtest the new changes or the new patch, i recommend giving it a try and if you still wish for more changes try and editing the tables yourself, changing the values without play-testing probably won't go very well.

@Keman I just made it slightly higher (max of -40%) The reason i had lowered it was because i noticed some factions would get too many -%upkeep that would add up, then they would have free units, like for example i think Grimgor was getting free Black Orcs because of his upkeep reduction + lord skills + the full 50% from potential. This mod also increases the income that the AI gets from post-battle loot, sacking, and reduces recruitment and construcfton costs more than the other mod, so with all the extra $$$ it balances out that the upkeep is slightly higher than the other mod.

I dont know if all the cheats the AI get are working as intended with this mod.
I can confirm that without this mod the IA upkeep is lower than with it on (all difficulties)
Dont know if other cheats are affected or not.

Its strange because your "AI Max difficulty enabled" mod doesnt have this problem.
Just pointing it out.

@Oblivious, This mod has been great for helping me with the design of my own mod,which is sort of a broad rebalancing mod, including some changes to AI strength and aggressiveness. I'm a little undecided on if I should post my own mod to the Workshop, but if I do, I'll include a credit to this mod and a link to it in the description.

can this mod also affect chaos lords turning into daemon princes too :) i feel like having only daniel the ai never accend them into daemonhood :T its strange :( and i do want daemon princes to be rare but it would be cool if this mod also included in it :D if you want to O_O

Could you provide some comments on how the changes in this mod correspond to changes CA has made in the official patch? It sounds like they've made many similar changes, but I would be interested to hear how the numbers shape up. My guess is that the changes from this mod are a little more aggressive (so to speak) than the numbers in the official patch, but it would help to get a comparison.

Very faction dependent for enjoyment. Tried 3 campaigns, all on Legendary.

Archaon: great mod, more enemies willing to fight and higher tier rank 9 units in them, once the campaign gets going. Vassals are aggressively trying to expand and the map feels more alive. Victory achieved.

Fey Enchantress: If not for Orion being a murder-hobo and immediately wiping out Paravon, then chasing Skaven around my province (4 stacks came early) I'd have died. Beat them back, beat Grom, got bored, rushed Skavenblight. Rough start but seems doable.

Louen: get f***ed. Vampires wiped out one of the minor Brettonia factions by the time I killed the Greenskins, then Belakor and his vassal made their way to me at the same time as the vampires. 2 stacks for Belakor, 2 stacks for vampires. Vampires don't benefit from this mod as much as other factions as they still mostly bring trash, but they still have fast recovery

Good stuff, the AI is finally capable of a good offensive. Playing on VH I'm being flooded by enemy armies from every front at the same time stretching my resources to the very limit. Perfect.

@Vollhov I'm not sure, I'd have to sub to them and look at the files they change. Anything that changes aggressiveness or AI spending will probably not be compatible. The XP/turn and bonus potential should be compatible with all mods.

I appreciate the positive replies some are leaving, I'm enjoying this version a lot myself.

Out of all of the AI mods this is the only one that actually improved how fun the game is, FINALLY.
Super props on this one. I tried all of them and this is "the one" to be using bois

Now if we can just get the illogical war declarations from the AI out of the way we'd be 100% nearly lol.

Going to try adding hecleas's mods before this one & see if a literal s*** show starts too.
