I wonder if there are any reskins of this mod out there that would go well with Master Confounders High Gothic Empire Reskin that would truly make the empire just as grand as Cathay.

so could you add that ironsides gain bonuses from state-issued weapons and improved heavy weapons cause its a bit ridiculous that elite imperial infantry fights worse and deals less dmg in melee than hakbutschutzen and their only advantage is more iron on them?

Ironsides and Habutschutzen should get the same buffs, but there could be some missing. I have stat lines on these units that deviates greatly from base game units and kind of arbitrarily cut some bonus connections just so the units don't too terribly overpower everything in the late game. I tried to leave every unit with a shortcoming.

Is it supposed to be like this that Hakbutschutzen receive bonuses from infantry technology, but Ironsides and Eisenbombers dont? Or maybe they do receive bonus but it just doesnt show up? I'm talking about tech state issued weapons and improved heavy weapons

Sounds like they're still pushing updates that break animations. I'll take a look at some point. I will probably get everything in my collection patched when this game is finally near the end of it's update lifespan.

Also did you nerf the spikes??? basic swordsman units seem to be running straight through them, forcing the ranged unit into melee.

Hey snek, big fan of your mods especially this one, somewhat recently a mod dropped for Bretonnia finally giving them a technological upgrade somewhere on par with the empire called "Industrial Bretonnia Units". With it, the mod maker dropped a super cool reskin for Bretonnia called the "High Gothic Bretonnia Reskin" which looks amazing. With both of those he also made an empire reskin called "High Gothic Empire Reskin" which looks pretty amazing the mod is here - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3405782371&searchtext=high+gothic - what I am wondering is whether or not you, or anyone for that matter, would be willing to make a reskin patch mod for the units in this mod that matched the high gothic reskin mod? These units fit the current empire theme beautifully, but I feel like his mod better captures what the Empire would look like if it wasn't intentionally flamboyant when it comes to cosmetics just for fantasy's sake.

Low unit ammunition levels is intentional. The units with decent melee stats are made to force you to use them in melee most battles. They should be supplemented with mod or vanilla units with higher ammo counts.

@Augimund check out Snek's other mods, one of them adds 18th century muskets to the normal handgunners which buffs their melee ability. I also don't know if you encountered this issue but for some reason this mod disables the reload animation mod for vannila units so using the bayonet mod which also replaces the muskets fixes it.

Are the vanilla hand gunners not meant to be used with this mod? They feel significantly weaker than even the lower tier gun troops because so many of them have suppression and can fire while moving.

@ccynq I double checked my tables here and I don't think I'm overwriting missiles for those units? Are you using this with any of my submods? I could check those as well.

@DocHolliday No need to apologize. I know it's an odd creative decision. The 3rd edition has these mangled German (in lore, Reikspiel) names for every unit. I get why they pivoted to more straightforward names, I've just come to love the vibes of early WHFB, with garbled German words, puffy sleeves, and big foppish hats.

Huh interesting, I don't know much about older lore for Warhammer so my apologies. I was specifically speaking in regards to the other imperial units in this game but that makes sense.

On the unit names. The names "Hakbutschutzen" and "Ersatzsolder" are taken directly from the Warhammer 3rd edition Empire army book names (for Handgunners and Militia Spearmen, respectively ) and were done intentionally in that book as mangled German. I think as an English counter culture way to annoy Continentals, and as purposeful teasing of the fantasy genre taking different people's real cultures and myths, mangling the understand of them, then reducing them to just the cool parts.

This mod started with WH2 with my desire to transpose that Warhammer pastiche of medieval Tolkienesque fantasy to Napoleonic warfare, while retaining or amplifying WHFB's absurdity. This whole roster is silly, fun (I hope), and experimental, so I feel even those most grounded of units need to retain something absurd about them.

I agree with Eypeltower the German names don't really fit with any other imperial units, Ironically I have always called the Hakbutschutzen rifle infantry like he suggested and the Ersatzsolder militia infantry which is close enough to reserve infantry. This mod is amazing regardless and obviously this is just an opinion and it's your mod so do whatever you want.

First of all thank zou for this amazing modI can't seem to recruit Hellhammer cannons, i've built all the buildings that increase cap and are required for recruiting them, i have Nuln, but the cap for hellhammer cannons (and hochland long rifles) stays at 0/0, any idea why? i'm running tyrannus's uber collection, but everything works from this mod except this
