Cool

Can i play level itself only, without changes of sounds and icons? Those parts of the game are very on individual taste and i don't want to change them.

I have been playing for man years to. 3 year olds really are not old enough and have the cognitive skills to play these kinds of games that require timing, skill and concentration. I can tell you I would not even begin to have the patience to want to even try on anythign without God mode sometimes. I just enjoy the game more than havnig to keep starting over. That is just pointless to me

I've been playing this game since I was like 3.
erniem1970 6 Aug, 2014 @ 12:16am
you are NOT the norm Cat and I have ne3ver known anyone, not even expert gamers to be able to play this game on Serious without cheats. it just doesnt happen. Especially later levels they come from ALL directions and keep coming and yuor hit level drops fast.
spearten.com  [author] 4 Aug, 2014 @ 7:30pm
I just did it a few hours ago. The end of the video is extremely choppy for whatever reason. Although, I did beat the whole thing on serious without a single death.
erniem1970 4 Aug, 2014 @ 3:45pm
Thats great Cat. But this game is insane on Serious mode, and no matter what, I would never be able to finish it without God mode.

Challenge Accepted.

Cat Stampede, that doesn't matter because there is literally not enough ammo spawned in to deal with the waves, and they go on forever.

I'd like to see a video of you clearing it on Serious difficulty.
spearten.com  [author] 4 Aug, 2014 @ 12:58pm
I've beat it on Serious by myself numerous times. I didn't want to make an adventure-type of map with this. Instead, I sought to create a challenge level with three stages that one must pass. As for pickups, there are already enough. Use the speedpowerups in the arenas wisely. Don't try to hold out in the back for too long. Manuever alot. It's not unfair when you use these tips. In the first section, after killing the zorgs and whatnot, picking up the minigun will start the onslaught of enemies that will end that stage. Each area between the arenas serve as a break area, where you can even find secrets before moving on to the next stage.

Valerie, if you have played Serious Sam long enough, pretty much anything above the easiest setting is going to be hard. THis game is made to be the most enemy packed all out fighfest! All the Serious Sam encounters are like that. You can activate cheats to play the game when it gets too hard. I do and still have a great time!
Biomechanoid 17 Jul, 2014 @ 10:55am
I pretty much agree with everything Valerie said about the map. Also, the whole map is missing shadows which can be fixed by changing the Shadow width, Shadow height and Shadow depth values in the Distant Light entity.

The mappack needs more pickups for single player. Also, the fights in SP goes on for way too long, there needs to be pauses in between each wave where the item pickups are the trigger for the next fight.

I am sorry to say, but as much as the level looks good, the unfair fights really kills it. The kind of fight scripting that you have used in the map would have been better served in survival mode.

Well, I just changed it earlier to use only enemies added on the workshop version, so I don't think I'll go back and change it now.
Solais 14 Jul, 2014 @ 11:35pm
Ah yeah, you used the Lava Biomech too. To be honest, you can also use that too. you can pack them with the level.
spearten.com  [author] 14 Jul, 2014 @ 1:29pm
Ok, it's now updated to use the enemy resource pack on the workshop. I had to change up some things though with the enemies hopefully it doesn't change too much gameplay.
spearten.com  [author] 14 Jul, 2014 @ 1:13pm
Give me just a second on changin the silver biomech to something else and the lava walkers as well and everything else in the beta resource pack.
spearten.com  [author] 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:50pm
Oh, and I already planned to release the level seperate, I just released this modpack to began to add all my content. I'll also add the hud separate too for people that want that.
spearten.com  [author] 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:49pm
Ok, I linked the the steam workshop version of the enemy resource pack, but tell me if any problems occur with using this. Most likely there will be none, but if any, please tell me and changes will be made immediately.
Solais 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:12pm
I have to say that the map itself is superb made. It looks real good (though maybe too shiny and bloomy), while it runs really well, something I can't always manage to do. The crumbs work is the best I've seen so far on a fan-made map. But I can say, that the new level is really for coop, because it starts very fast and there are a lot of enemies, maybe a little too much for singleplayer. But otherwise the spawning is pretty solid besides the one part where only marsh-hoppers and blue biomechs spawn. Btw, I think you used the wrong behavior file for the Purple Biomech.

Also, I almost failed to notice why you would need to use the Beta Enemy Pack, besides the Silver Biomech. I allow you to pack that enemy with your level, as it wasn't made by me. But please, use the publicly available enemy pack for the rest, the beta pack is not for publication yet. Also, I recommend releasing the map separately.
Solais 14 Jul, 2014 @ 8:23am
Also, can't be the level separate from the rest of the mod? I'm sure there are people out there who have their own mods they want to use but still want to play the map.
[-:-]Harbinger 14 Jul, 2014 @ 7:11am
What Solais said you aren't suppose to use the one mean't for SSHDX when he updates the Workshop one, for now use the current version and delete the link.
Solais 14 Jul, 2014 @ 7:11am
It is for the safety of the user mostly, as the said pack is not updated for a reason on the workshop, meaning that the Beta Enemy Pack causes crashes and errors and is not considered ready for a public release in any shape or form. I'll probably remove the download link too, as the beta testing for that SSHDX build have ended.
Solais 14 Jul, 2014 @ 7:07am
Okay so. As said in the originaly thread where it was posted, the BETA Enemy Pack existing for SSHDX Beta test is not to be used in any creation on the workshop. Please remove that link and use the one on the workshop.
Thanadrax 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:57am
So how much levels you want add and how often will it update? On this time, nicely
spearten.com  [author] 13 Jul, 2014 @ 11:47pm
Plans for the future: More levels and spectator cameras for the existing level are to be added.
spearten.com  [author] 13 Jul, 2014 @ 11:46pm
Previous problems with the level are now fixed! Enjoy!
spearten.com  [author] 13 Jul, 2014 @ 9:39pm
If anybody comes across any errors, please post what they say right here and I'll get to them as soon as I can. I had a few initially and those known are fixed.
