Not currently, I'm rather surprised I never thought of adding that;
Right now all it does is say what conditions make them happy/unhappy.
Xenfall 13 Apr @ 10:05am
Does this mod confirm if they are currently happy or not happy?

godsent mod.
GUNS BLAZING 22 Feb @ 11:16am
I'm stupid sorry. Despite having it's own pylon, the sulfurous sea is considered a regular ocean. I thought I had checked that already, but I guess not. Thank you for your patience and willingness to help.
Moonlight Glint  [author] 15 Feb @ 4:43pm
I checked both of those mods' source code and neither appears to make the Brewer like the Sulfurous Sea, can you verify that a mod actually does this?
GUNS BLAZING 15 Feb @ 12:28pm
This is great mod with only one (possible) issue. The Brewer (AlchNPC) likes the Sulfurous Sea (Calamity), but this is not shown ingame. Considering this isn't a problem for any modded NPCs that like biomes from their own mods, I assume this isn't actually a problem with your mod, but rather how AlchNPC coded this cross-mod compatability. I figured I should bring it to your attention in case I am wrong and its some sort of oversight, but I doubt it. The other reason I wanted to make this comment is to thank you. Not having to check the wiki is a godsend, especially when a lot of mods don't even have them. Never would have known the Goblin Tinkerer likes the Enchanter(Spirit) without your mod.

Possible, added.
Moonlight Glint  [author] 21 Jan @ 4:23pm
Great suggestion! I'll definitely add that if possible.
Palonen 21 Jan @ 3:01pm
Oh, thank you I'll check that out! Also another suggestion, if you keep the hotkey: Being able to use it on an NPC's icon in the housing menu would be cool. Especially if there was Census support, so you could see what NPCs like before they move in and build a suitable house ahead of time.
Moonlight Glint  [author] 21 Jan @ 10:10am
I might eventually update this mod with a feature like that, but for now, Controller Configurator might be able to help with having too many hotkeys, if the issue is that you're running out of keys to bind them to rather than that you're having trouble remembering all of them.
Palonen 21 Jan @ 9:59am
Hi, just wondering if in a future update it could be changed so that the data shows when clicking the "Happiness" button in an NPC's menu, rather than needing a hotkey specifically for this. Terraria mods already demand far too many hotkeys

thanks!

This mod does not possess any means by which it could be wrong (with the exception of mods using custom happiness functionality) as it does not do anything but pull data from the game;

Analysis of the source code of both of the versions (AlchemistNPCLite and AlchemistNPCRebornAgain) of the alchemist npc mod I can find shows that in both versions:
The Brewer likes the Alchemist
The Alchemist dislikes the Brewer
Both love the Young Brewer

I would advise informing anyone or anything who says something contradictory to one of these of this, if you should hear such claims again;

Lastly, if you find any issues with this mod, bugs can be reported here [github.com] as well as in this comments section.
live by the wage die by the wage 10 Jun, 2024 @ 8:43pm
it got the alchemist npc happiness requirements wrong. It says that the brewer and alchemist don't like living together for some reason
Moonlight Glint  [author] 17 Apr, 2024 @ 7:36pm
I think it might automatically enable mods if you download them from the in-game mod browser, but I'm not sure since it's been a while since I used that
YT: JaredX7 17 Apr, 2024 @ 6:00pm
Nvm. I forgot to manually enable the mod in-game.

Still getting used to how different mods are loaded. I'd much rather mods be active the very moment they're installed, like literally every single other game.
Moonlight Glint  [author] 17 Apr, 2024 @ 5:33pm
if it's not in the controls menu that means the mod didn't register the keybind, and that means the mod didn't load, it can be weirdly difficult to find keybinds in the controls menu, but if it really isn't there either you didn't enable the mod, or it encountered an error while loading, in the latter case I'll need your client log to figure out why
YT: JaredX7 17 Apr, 2024 @ 5:26pm
But it's not in the controls menu.
Moonlight Glint  [author] 17 Apr, 2024 @ 5:14pm
Iirc tML doesn't make keybinds default to their default values, if that's the case you have to set it yourself in the controls menu before you can use it
YT: JaredX7 17 Apr, 2024 @ 5:10pm
What us the hotkey
Moonlight Glint  [author] 21 Sep, 2023 @ 4:24pm
It should be in controls, I'm not sure what it is about the menu but it really seems to be oddly difficult to find anything in.
IamMegan 21 Sep, 2023 @ 4:17pm
Idk if I'm just blind, but where is the place to set up the hotkey? Is it under controls or Mod Config?
Moonlight Glint  [author] 13 Sep, 2023 @ 1:34pm
It checks preferences when you press the key rather than using a premade, so it should be compatible with everything a mod can do except custom conditions for happiness that aren't internally implemented using biomes or NPCs;

In simpler terms: I'll be surprised if you can find a single mod this doesn't work with.
blarging2000s 13 Sep, 2023 @ 8:51am
Is it compatible with modded npcs or if a mod changes vanilla npc preferences?
emihead 10 Jun, 2023 @ 10:59am
no pressure, i usually just like to see what a mod exactly does before installing it :P thank you for the info!
Moonlight Glint  [author] 10 Jun, 2023 @ 10:48am
Currently the UI just consists of a hotkey that prints the NPC's preferences to chat (but don't worry about it spamming other players with chat messages in multiplayer, it doesn't actually send messages), if you'd still like to see a screenshot I can take and upload one.
emihead 10 Jun, 2023 @ 4:16am
a screenshot would be nice
Moonlight Glint  [author] 7 Apr, 2023 @ 2:59pm
That's just how "both" side mods work, I should probably be able to make it client-side without too many adjustments though.
Zairin 7 Apr, 2023 @ 1:47pm
The mod automatically gets disabled when I join a multiplayer game.
Racist Femboy 4 Mar, 2023 @ 4:45am
Thanks a lot for this mod. 'Tis absolutely essential for playing with mods
