Sooooo, the army of the dead spell crashes my server, the log files say this: LogWindows:Error: Failed to find function SummonNonThrallCompanion in SpellcastFunctionLibrary_C /Game/Sorcery/Spells/SpellcastFunctionLibrary.Default__SpellcastFunctionLibrary_C. Any way to fix?

tipp: If you want the weight of the parapheilas of this mod, but don't mind using another sorcery mod for the reast, load this first and then the "sorcery tweaks". Then the mass cull spell will work, because it will be overwritten. I just tested it. "sorcery tweaks" also negates the stamina-penalty of corruption (but this can be deactivated or modified to your liking.) It doesn't modify the needed resources or weight for the paraphelias, however. So in this case, this mod will work. E. G. I use both again at the moment.

I would love to see this mod fixed as Mass Cull is still broken. Otherwise I would have had this in my modlist because the tweaks are really good.

@Carollney: I used both mods at the same time in chapter 1. No problems. The load-order matters, however. I'm not sure if it must get loaded first or after this mod to override the things, it changes as well. I had both, because sorcery-tweaks doesn't change the weight and resources to make the Paraphelia for the spells.

Some mods have a checkmark in the list ingame.. I assume they mark the up-to-date-mods. Some will function none the less, however. (for example I use a level 80-mod without the mark. No problems so far.)

@FluffyPotato: I have the same issue with the harvest spell. I didn't try the summonings, yet. (I started new, and don't have all spells, yet.)
To change the tweaks of the sorcerey-tweaks mod it is recommendet to also use the admin-panel-mod. (I'm not sure about the real name. Read the discription in Spell-Tweaks.) This simplifices tweaking-options a lot. (I even my be necessary to tweak it to your liking in the first place...)

I haven't been able to get the devkit working on my other linux machine so I haven't been able to update this so I can see about updating it once my laptop is back from warranty(For some reason it works on that). I don't have a windows machine anymore and the devkit is quite weird on linux.

i agree with aethelbirht here i also did a test on my solo with mod and with out, it works without, but with the mod the animations go thru and burns a pouch but does not actually do the spell.

Heads up: the "performance update" they did on 2/7 seems to have partially broken this mod. The Harvest Resource spell no longer functions with Better Sorcery installed; you get the animation and it burns a pouch, but otherwise it has no effect. I uninstalled the mod and now the spell works again.

I'd love an update; I really like the mod since it makes subtle improvements in the sorcery system while leaving it pretty much intact.

my server was crashing from the mod tome of forbidden arts. i had this mod on with it, but when tome was removed, the crashing stopped. maybe you are using other sorc mods that are causing the crash

I haven't been able to replicate the get melt sound issue. In my test game with just the mod there's no error. Try disabling some other mods.

I appear to be getting a crash with this mod the log file has a bunch of stuff about elemental wall before ending on something about Get Melt Sound missing and the game loads into the save again with this mod removed.

No problem. I was expecting I would have to do some bullshit to get it working on Linux but apparently it just runs with the new Glorious Eggroll version of Proton, even from my network drive so I literally added the modding tools as a non-steam game and it worked. Update itself was just recompiling it and that's it.

can confirm Master SJT's findings. the exact same report and only your awesome mod causes the game to break on loading in. I really hope you can find a way to fix it, as your mod was a godsend to make the vanilla sorcery a fun addition rather than a tedious timetrap. With all the best regards, Nogard

I'll try updating this in the near future though I don't have a Windows machine anymore and getting the modding tools working on Linux the last time was not very successful though it may be enough to at least do a quick update.

yea tested all my mods and this one is a hard crash like the person below reported

on a fresh save it crashes just after you finalise the character

@BurntChow Check out SorceryTweaks (allows you to manually adjust spell stats through an admin command) and if you want a more fair pouch weight reduction there is another called SorceryPouchTweaks that increases stack size and only halves the weights.

I'ma be honest, pouch cost is a decent balance for certain spells, the stack and weight though is a pita, I love the idea of carry more, especially the tier 1s for bridge and slowfall, makes traveling so much more fluid.

Increasing the effectiveness and power of the spells AND also decreasing the cost is just game breaking and immersion breaking. The needs to be some effort into casting spells..

I like the increase in damag etc. (some are a little high for my taste)
but dislike the cost reduction bit of the mod.. For now I'll have to pass.

Can we have an option to retain the more costly pouches? I like the buffs you've done to the spells (especially wisp, wall of fire, and army of the dead) but I DO like these spells being somewhat costly to cast.

Since the stab attack with the wand is useless, would be nice if instead it pulled up the section you last cast. I.E. last spell cast was summon bat, so you press the "block/off hand" button it will pull up the last set of runes so you can instantly click on the summon bat rune.

Great mod. I was looking at editing the mod to see if I could make it where the pouches were doubled in stack size instead of stacked to 80. It looks like only the original mod creators are able to, or allowed to, edit those files. I haven't downloaded the full modpack to try though as I don't use Epic.

If you are able to, I would recommend checking out ModControlPanel. If its easy enough to add settings to that and become a 3rd party mod on it, it would give admins in game control over adjustments to crafting costs, stack sizes, and more.

@FluffyPotato I've been testing the mass cull and it appears to work in four steps instead of six and then the 4th step doesn't extend further than where the 3rd step occurs, nor does the spell appear to have a longer range. So based on your last message, it appears to be partially working, but not exactly, in that there is an extra step, but its not six as expected and there's no extra range. This is in single player for the record.

@Harvey_UK: It should be easy to check. Mass Cull works in increments of 1000 so if it eats resources in 3 steps then it's not working but if it eats the resources in six steps it works. So it will scan resources in a radius of 1000 and then eats those, then 2000 and so on.
It worked on my tests and when I played on my private server as well.

@kekkuli: It's under known issues

@Rhodes: By default they have 200 and under my tests with a weapon that does 200 damage they do not die very quickly. Do you have any other mods on?

@[CL] Zalgo: I like it so I don't plan on removing the fog.

@Novadose: Unfortunately casting speed is kinda tied to animations and stuff I don't really know how to modify. I may be able to make the stones pop up faster but no promises.

There used to be a mod called "friendly sorcery". The "nice" creator has now taken it out of the workshop and it looks like this mod has destroyed all the magic, irreparably. There is neither a statement from him nor anything else.
So the only thing left to do is to completely rebuild the server.
Does anyone here perhaps know if there is an alternative to repair?

As far as i can tell, the lightning storm buff does not work, and i'm not sure about mass culling either.
