I can't get intercity trains to board at any platform other then the one-way track. Is this normal?

HamsterVolant — have you subscribed to the Italian platform networks and the Euro station tracks? Typically that error is due to missing networks (I’m assuming that’s why the hall, which has no networks, worked fine).

If you are still having issues, I would love if you could send over your output_log.txt for me to take a look.

Got a "Asset Failed to Load" for "Main Gare de Nice-Ville" - The hall however loaded fine.
Did not try yet with the modular version though.
