@=Mr.Stafflink= In the variants_tables, just copy all unit entries that has something in the Super Low Poly Filename tab and just remove the data in the tab.

Yes, that's it, but can you tell me what you did with the 2d lod sprites and what specifically you edited in the db folder, your Resize Matters No LOD mod? I just want to make a fix for the lod myself.

@=Mr.Stafflink= I think I know what it is now. There is an extra set of LoDs that this mod does not touch on. It is the 2D sprites type of LODs that some units use.

You can try my Resize Matters No LOD mod which does remove these LODs, or if you want a mod that does not change unit scales, you can give Battle Lod Remover from Quentilius a try.

I think that mod should fix the issue.

Hi. I noticed that this mod does not cure the disappearance of shields in many units, with minor camera removal.... Is it possible to fix this? Shields disappear in many units of dwarves, orcs, empire, some models become gray when the camera is removed. If the solution to such a thing a?

@Replay64 Yes as this is more like an edit to the coded LOD ranges that CA uses for their units, which is usually the case for all mods too. But it depends on how the modder has generated their custom unit LODs as there are options to just use the best full res modell on any of the 4 LOD ranges, but that is usually not the best way to do it as it will have a performance impact.

Some LoD mods like one of my resize mod options, also removes the low polly LODs, and this is like the final stage LOD that is not directly connected to the unit model, but a seperate model file. This is usually what most LOD remover mods actually remove.

i have a question.. if i play with custom modded factions and units does this mod apply the enhance to those units aswell, because usually i just use the battle lod remover mod since my pc can handle it but i may sacrifice a bit of quality for the sake of consistence.

How compatible is the mod?

• Should work with anything really.
• But be warned, because of the nature of this mod it will always load. It is in a movie type packfile so disabling it wont really disable it. You need to delete it from your data or content folders to remove the mod from your game.

@LEAF LOVER I make sure all my mods are compatible with eachother.

This mod should pretty much be compatible with all mods other than a mod that does the same thing or alter the Tweaker xml files.

Oh I messed up, I have changed it now to 0.15 as it is in vanilla.

I have never touched the value so they must have changed it at some point.

Actually, the vanilla value is 0.15, and the mod value is 0.5. I asked because I thought this was a value you intentionally changed.

Perhaps, when the mod was created, the vanilla value was 0.5, and it was later changed to 0.15.

Not sure, I took some screenshots of grass and compared the two, but I can't see any difference.
I will set the value to 0,5 and update the mod just in case.

The value for gbuffer_blend_edges_amount_grass_battle has been changed from 0.15 to 0.5. What exactly does this change affect?

I only really use reskins so maybe one of them is interfering but I seem to not get it to work anymore. It def was working yesterday though.

Just delete the mer_lod_distance.pack file and let it download again.

But this should not really break even if you add mods unless you have added another mod that alters the same file.

Which files need to be deleted for a reinstall? It worked earlier but then after a bunch of other seemingly non related mods it stopped working and I can't get it running again.

That would be awesome, but as far as I know it is more hardcoded into the engine. At least I have not found any modifier that works for the LoD for vfx.

I wish there was a mod like this but for increasing the distance of VFX effects on units, like glowing eyes, glowing weapons, the distance is really short in Warhammer 3 just like it is for unit model LoDs.

@Evono As far as I know, the LoD for animations work differently from the LoD on the models.
There is also a last type of LoDs not touched on by this mod as it is an LoD where they swap out the model with much lower quality ones at a very far zoom distance. I have removed these in my Resize Matters No LOD mod. But I won't include that in this mod as this works very differnetly.

@Stankyarmpits It does what it says in the description and shown in the pictures. I am not sure why it does not work for you, but it seems to work perfectly fine on my end. Perhaps you have a conflicting mod that alters the same file or something?

hmm i got SFO , a few campaign map mods , Mixus lords... and stuff all in like 18 mods including yours , i am playing atm Nurgle and the units seem to degrade in model quality still at the same zoom out in battle with it on you can see it actually quite good because when the "bad" model loads they dont run anymore "straight" but a bit sideways model wise and lower quality. i might test a bit around maybe its some weird conflict.

@Evono No this should work no matter what load order you put it in, unless you have a mod that also have the same files that is, in fact it works even if you do not have it enabled as it is a special type of packfile which is required for it to work, but can't really be disabled.

I don't know how that mod works. But there are LoDs that are used for some units that replaces the model with very low poly models. For instance, my Resize Matters (no Lod) mod removes these lod files.

Strangely enough, when I zoom out far or very far I see more details than when there is middle distance between camera and unit. Then I must zoom in completely or zoom out again to see more details, something like LOD 0 --> LOD 2/3 --> LOD 1.
