Playable aliens use the default outfits, so if you change the muton to this version, I think all the in game mutons would change too.

On the animation side, I am not so sure if they fit.

i assume you cannot put this for playable muton correct or am i wrong?

All good!

Unfortunately Xenonauts doesn't have any actual 3D models from what I remember given it's all 2D based. Might give him a poke if Xenonauts 2 comes out any time soon given that was more 3D.

@When Day Breaks

Thank you for your offer :steamhappy:

Sorry about the later reply as my PC broken down few days ago and just got some new parts and fixed it.

Due to some personal issues I may not able to play games too much.

If you want to commission any mods, Asthye is the one to ask. Perhaps some models can be extracted form Xenonauts?

@tastiger841
I absolutely adore Xenonauts and wish there was some 3D content for it, would've loved to see Harridans/Wraiths/Praetorians as a mod for XCOM. I'll send you a friend request, if you want I can chuck you a copy of it?

@Arkay
Xenonauts sounds interesting, I will give it a try once it is on sale.
Slackboy101 30 Sep, 2022 @ 4:14pm
Can't wait for someone to make a Muton Redux mod and this gets added to it
Arkay 28 Sep, 2022 @ 1:29pm
Welp, I see I wasn't the only one who saw this and thought they'd like to see this as an actual enemy unit!

Unfortunately, I'm just here to give kudos for an amazing job. I also had good fun reading the comments section. You certainly know your stuff.

If you're interested, Xenonauts has their own Long War version called "X-Division" which has been gruelling. They've not just put in the Reapers you're describing, but also Xenomorphs which basically act like near-invisible mines. If this ever becomes an Alien Pack I'd be 100% down for it.

@samoth2016
I believe there is a model and animations for Silacoid from the bureau.

Regarding the Mechtoid and other non-humanoid aliens, someone more experienced than us will need to do the animations and create an enemy mod.
samoth2016 9 Sep, 2022 @ 12:16pm
@tastiger841 you are 100% right about the Bio Division mod having what looks like a Mechtoid from EW.... WITH permission from CX i'm sure someone could reskin this asset and use the same animations from the BD-2.0 files to make the have the mechtoid asset, then there would have to be someone who could get the permissions from the modder behind the allies unknown mod and maybe the makers of the Mec Troopers could maybe give some hints in how to put Sectoids into the Proving Ground to create a new Mechtoid Class for X-Com and someone extremely clever could also make these as new enemies then when you autopsy a sectoid and a mechtoid it could unlock a new project to create your own Mechtoids which would be a great spin off of the existing Psionic Mech class.....

I miss Cyberdiscs from EW and there were enemies in the original EU or UFO Defence whichever region you were in, in that game you had terror units known as Reapers which were like modified dinosaurs, also Silacoids, we had Celatids ported over but no Silacoids, what I thought would be cool for these is if they acted similar to the face huggers in phoenix point once they attach to a civilian or soldier it takes control and if you want your soldier back you have to shoot the Silacoid off your soldier but if you miss the shot you run the risk of killing your own soldier. I'm sure this could be done by using the existing system for X-Com 2 and if you target the Silacoid and the damage roll results in a dodge or a graze then the damage is transferred to the soldier it's attached to, i'm not clever enough to do this but the silacoid resembles a much smaller version of the Chrysalid Cocoon, if the existing asset was re-skinned and re-sized then it could pass for a silacoid

Oh wow, these look so cool, can someone please turn these into enemy mods? They have an Enemy within vibe to them.

@deadput

Alterd-Rushnano created William Carter's voice, and one of the weapons from [WoTC]Legacy of Chosen(Chosen Hero Weapon mod) was inspired by The bureau.

I asked Alterd-Rushnano to see if any help could be done for the baby sectoid and Sectopod (the true version) a month ago without any replies.

@KhaosByDesign

There is a Mechtoid file:
https://www.deviantart.com/lezisell/art/XCOM-Mechtoid-XPS-ONLY-785480155

Bio Division 2.0 also has Bio Mec Trooper, whose weapons and animation can be used for the Mechtoid. My guess is you will need permission from team CX in order to use them.
Deadput 7 Sep, 2022 @ 12:47pm
@tastiger841 Yeah the Sectoids probably won't be easy since not even the EU Sectoid has been ported after all this time, the Bureau Sectoids probably would fit those animations if they ever make it to X2.

You might have some luck finding people on the main Xcom 2 modding server, in regards to animations and such.

@Asthye For sure, I'll send you a message when I'm ready, thanks again!

It will be truly awesome if this would be somehow compatible with playable alliens/allies unknown!
KhaosByDesign 7 Sep, 2022 @ 3:48am
@tastiger841 I don't suppose there's a Mechtoid file in there too? Because that would make an amazing SPARK mod :sectoid:
tastiger841  [author] 7 Sep, 2022 @ 2:51am
For the regular muton, you will need a different tex file because the mutons here are based on the elite version, though the basic bodies are 99% identical:

Do you know anyone is good with animation? Because there is also a baby sectiod, this guy has all the files, so you can have some references, animation included:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnSKugcBP1Y&list=PLcbIkIzKPEzRP4KxkpjOv-67_hiR5vBkb&index=4

Since Ashye is not familiar with animation, there is no point of bring it, unless we can use the base animation or the custom version.
Asthye  [author] 7 Sep, 2022 @ 2:19am
@Deadput just send me a DM when you are to make those mods so I can share with you the uncooked Upks
Deadput 7 Sep, 2022 @ 1:41am
Sounds awesome, and thank you for granting permission, I personally probably won't start modding again myself until late September but if anybody wants to beat me to the punch go for it.
tastiger841  [author] 6 Sep, 2022 @ 10:34pm
Hi Master Deadput, feel free to use any mods I have commissioned, also the scatter laser shotgun is used by these mutons.

There is still one more Bureau alien coming very soon.
Deadput 6 Sep, 2022 @ 10:05pm
By any chance would your permissions be open for myself or someone else to be able to use these for an enemy mod as long as credit was given in the description?

The Bureau Mutons would make for some nice Lighter/Agile based Muton enemies.
cYaNiDe 6 Sep, 2022 @ 8:56pm
Can you please make this into an alien mod
KhaosByDesign 6 Sep, 2022 @ 6:32pm
Ignore my previous comment didn't realize you can make both Muton types with this mod anyway so it's all good 🙂
KhaosByDesign 6 Sep, 2022 @ 2:08pm
Holy shit!! :ethereal:

I've been hoping for this, please tell me the other Elite from the The Bureau is coming too?? 🥺
