This is very nice it needs to get in. Only thing wrong with it is the piece of chalk.

This is great hope it gets in

Simple on first glance, but effective due to the subtle details, like the colour fading to a different shade from the bright "bow wave" to the "tail end" of the effect. The faint billowing smoke that doesn't overwhelm or obscure the ring effect, and the occasional puffs of fire erupting. Very nice.

My only nitpick: Personally, I would get rid of the piece of chalk(?) that goes round and round. It's unneccessary and distracting IMO and can be removed without losing anything important.

Or if you want to keep something there, maybe replace it with something more "mystical", like a golden or silver sigil or pentacle or little cloud of sparkles...
