I think if you use the Better Friendly NPCs mod you can adjust the config to make town NPCs invincible

A small addition to the Crystal Shield daybroken debuff:
I actively play with a mod to make town NPCs invincible, and the debuff still kills them. The alternative of just taking the accessory off is very unfortunate

Hmm idk if I will be able to fix it but I'm sure there are some mods out there that can enable invincible town NPCs, or you can always just take the accessory off.

Meat sheild's deybroken debuff spreads also town NPC and killing them.

Sorry for the delay I was travelling, sword of light can be obtained by talking to the shadow thief NPC while you have the beam sword in your inventory. I would suggest joining the discord if you have further questions.

Could you make a resource, such as google doc or such, to show all of the additions in the mod? Interested how it is for my main Summoner, but that would require me playing the game trying to find them. Very time intensive.

We removed it because it really didnt fit the mod, and caused parity issues. We might introduce something like it one day, though, dont get your hopes up.

Ok I think I might've fixed the issues that you've listed. I added a hard cap of 5 active minions for the accessory to take effect. I have it listed as 5 for now because the Card of Crowdedness can't have too high of a cap otherwise some minions won't do damage. Keep in mind that whatever effect that one card does has to be the exact opposite of the other, because then you could just equip both cards for a better effect.

Thank you but oh god it's even more busted now, both senses of the word. They both still work off of the slots added by gear "above" it like before. But it gives 10% damage for each minion *that you still summon*, which means putting it in the topslot is always the better option. For reference, my suggestion was giving a damage bonus for each minionslot it removes (with diminishing returns if possible, but im not good at math, a hardcap of 200% would also work), which i might not have made clear enough in my last post, my bad. Meanwhile Crowdedness has the ability to go into negative damage, which means they cant even hurt anything. So a hardcap for reduced damage also makes a lot of sense.
I'm sorry to put you through all of this, but i also really love the idea of trading minion slots for power and vice versa, as it makes some minions a lot more viable.

Huh, that is very interesting. I'll probably try and rework the accessory to make the damage dependent on how many minion slots it moves in a future update.

A curious aspect of the Card of Companionship: the amount of minion slots it removes is dependant on the accessory slot it's put it. If you put it at the top of your accessory slots it only halves the minion slots of your armor sets, other accessories that are below it can freely add minionslots after it was already halved. Likewise if you put the Card into the lowest of the accessory slots, it does take accessories into account. This is especially noticable with mods whose accessories can add a significant amount of minionslots (eg. Summoning Soul). A quick test revealed the same happeing to the Card of Crowdedness.
Honestly this probably would be an interesting mechanic if the damage bonus/malus was dependant on how many minion slots it removes/adds instead of a fixed 150/50%.

You can use recipe browser to view how you would get it. It should show notes and the notes give you a brief description of how you would obtain the item.

It has a few weapons but not alot of Post ML options as this is really meant as a standalone mod, or something you add with Thorium/Calamity for more options.

@Vos The way I made the accessory would work is that it would give a 10% damage increase to all non-summoner damage for every minion slot starting at 2 minion slots. For example if I had 4 minion slots it would give a 30% damage boost.

@Aiden:) you'll have to talk to the shadow thief NPC (which can be spawned using the rusted dagger during the day) and buy those after defeating the lunatic cultist (for storm dagger) and the pumpking (for the candy corn dagger). I hope this helps.

I would suggest placing a modest number (5%) with an increase of 3 minion slots then, so that way it is competitive with other accessories that do the same thing. You would have to double-check the exact percentage you're going to go with because I haven't thought about total minion slots in vanilla or other content mods like Calamity or Thorium.

Im trying to make the dark dagger (or whatever its called) the one that is made with a bunch of different daggers and i cant seem to figure out how to get the candycorn dagger or the storm dagger. Or am i an idiot (probably)

That's a good idea, I might add an accessory that gives more damage depending how many minion slots the player has. It would give an incentive to get more minion slots even if your not a summoner.

Truth be told, they don't have much of a reason to exist -- gripes with spritework aside -- as whatever scaling you were trying to match before was completely gone by the moment you got power armor done. However, I would totally love to see a mishmash between the summoner accessories to save up on accessory slots like the early-game emblem, the minion emblem and whip emblems without caveats and the Whip Master's Glory. I'm not sure about the other classes since I just ended up doubling down on it because of how absurdly overpowered True Origin was, but presumably there's something similar that can be done there.

It'd also be interesting to see items that add damage scaling with your total minion slots, if you'd ever wish to implement that.
